A few days ago, the esteeemed host and founder of this foremerly great website invited me to do the following:
"654. To: JohnGaltfla (#367)
Oh, it's much better to go out in a blaze of glory. Martyrdom, 72 virgins, plaque on the "Great Ones" wall of fame and all that rot.

Obviously, he was concerned that some of his better non-bot posters had abandoned FR for greener fields where our financial and intellectual contributions would be appreciated. It was amusing to watch former FReepers belittle, banter and blast JimRob in various forms.
I was wrong.
FR has changed.
Deal with that fact boys and girls.
Many of us grew up in a more conservative era, where our nation and our freedoms were first and foremost. Now we learn that it that is not the case. Principles are for losers according to the Bots and most of the ignorant posters here on FR. To create noise and call those of us who have been loyal to the conservative cause such creative and wonderful names as "Soros lovers", "Mobyites", "communists"(now that's a good one for those of us who have been overseas staring at AK-47's), "DUers" and names which are forbidden for me to mention but ok for the Bushbots.
The noise has driven off many of the best posters from this site. Now FR has become the Fluff of the RNC, posting such creative threads as "Pray for President Bush - Day 1276", "The Economy (Freep this poll)", " FReeper After Actions", "After Action Freep A.N.S.W.E.R. AUSTIN TX 3/20/04", etc...
It sounds more to me like everyone is proud of responding but no one has the convictions excpet for what the RNC faxes them. This election should not be about "Republican" v. "Democrat" principles. Neither party has any principles. If you morons believe that, then you are bigger fools than I thought. This is about the future of America an the viability of capitalism in this nation.
Why "FReepers" can not see this and hold "their man" to the Hamiltonian principles of limited Federal government and enhancing our freedoms by reducing dependency on any government. By controlling immigration, restructuring the tax system to pre-1916 form, and by enhancing the defense of this nation by using actions instead of words when dealing with foreign powers (little things, like enforcing the acts against nations which do business with Cuba, as Bush promised in 2000). Unfortunately you mind numbed morons don't care. If you're 401K shows a fiat currency positive figure, you're all happy as a fly in a cow pasture.
Go for it.
As Senor Cartman would say:
"Screw you guys, I'm going home"
In re President Bush -- I more than fully concur that he has been an fantastic president, I continue to be jaw-dropping-stunned by his admin and policies astuteness and planning -- these policies -- many of which conservatives argue over -- are so long-term in their overall-objectives, so far seeing, at times, I've been breathless. I realize the risks involved with some of the policies, especially given the natures of those ardently supporting a secretive agenda -- we need 4 more years of President Bush. No ifs and buts about it.
What I can say with certainty is that he is an honest man who cares deeply about our nation. FReegards.
There are ONLY two candidates, one of whom will win. There ARE major differences between President Bush and Kerry, no matter WHAT anyone may claim to the contrary.
VOTE BUSH IN '04 !
Read his latest thread. :-)
I have no idea what this means. Could you try communicating in English?
I mean, what where you 8 years-old in one country? Or was it 14 years old? That makes YOU the expert, according to YOU.,
Fair enough, but I merely alluded to the "GOP's policies of accelerating socialism."
$15b to AIDS, $8b more to Uncle Teddy'socialist-agendaed NEA, the multi-multi-billion dollar AARP-medicare proposal, the footing of the bill for millions of illegals -- you tell me which direction the good ship GOP ought to be sailing?
"If you want to yell "unimpeded" invasion then you are just being ignorant. To do otherwise is not debate it is just ranting.
We've been going around in circle regarding this issue...
Talk to Freepers who live in California and Arizona.
Talk to Freepers who work for the BP
Talk to Freepers who believe their own two eyes.
I live in New Jersey. The Asbury Park Press just ran a story on illegal Mexican immigrants (that's an invasion from 2500 miles away) who natives complain have just taken over the town (Freehold, NJ) while engulfing its social services.
I would indeed call this a "unimpeded invasion."
"Tectonic"?? Yes -- that's the word when trying discussing the issue at FR...
"These problems were worse 15 and 20 years ago with Reagan."
According to whom?
Do you live anywhere near the California, Arizona, or New Mexican border?
Even living in New Jersey, public discourse AND my own eyes tell me otherwise.
Social services across the country would tell you otherwise as well.
No one is disputing this, but shouldn't a true GOP conservative also be counted on to:
Decelerate fiscal/social spending? Enforce the Mexican border/illegal invaders with the SAME passion and resources reserved for fighting terrorism?
This REMAINS a contradiction for a President "concerned" with the security and sovereignty of the U.S.
