Defending Sen. John Kerry against charges he fabricated claims of meetings with foreign leaders who offered their political support, Sen. Ted Kennedy said Sunday that the Central Intelligence Agency will verify Kerry's account.
Asked to identify the leaders Kerry met with, Kennedy told NBC's "Meet the Press," "The CIA knows it . They work for the president. They can give him the names of all of those countries."
Kennedy complained that the White House still hasn't identified the members of Vice President Dick Cheney's Energy task Force, or the White House official who leaked the name of CIA employee Valerie Plame.
But when pressed on Kerry's alleged meetings with foreign leaders, Kennedy reiterated the claim that the CIA will back his account up.
"He's obviously - he's met leaders over a period of time," he told "Meet the Press." "And anyone - the CIA knows who they - if the White House is really interested in those leaders, they control the CIA, the CIA gives them those lists."

Call me whacky but doesn't this strike any of you as a little odd? Earlier this week you have a Kerry supporter/author saying that, yes, he was indeed at the Kansas City meeting and now there is JEffingK's own senior senator saying that he was meeting with foreign leaders and I'll have the CIA back it upSo, does that make Kerry a flip/flop/flip????

Teddie "the whale" probably has the names filed in the filing cabinet of John Freakin' Kerry's nominee for Secretary of State = The Racist Queen of the U. S. House of Representatives, MAXINE WATERS! She has close ties to the CIA.

The idiotic reasoning behind Teddy's desire to disprove a lie while opening up every can of worms possible surrounding a presidential election and giving rise to a possible criminal investigation for foreign influence peddling totally escapes his thought process.
What an arrogant, lawless jerk.

Too bad this invitation to review the CIA dossier on Kerry didn't come from Kerry himself. Imagine the fun things that would turn up. I can't believe Kennedy is so shortsighted!

I for one think drunk Ted raises an interesting point. Lets publicly ask Tenet to look into the possibility and publicly support or renounce the claim that Kerry has met with foreign leaders.

Teddie knows his drinking limit. Fortunately for him he always passes out before he reaches it. ...even if he's driving a car over a bridge with a young lady in the passenger seat.

If you have the chance ,try and pick up a book called "The Senator" By Richard Burke. He was Ted's chief of staff for 10 years during the Eighties. It's most likely out of print but still around in libraries. After reading you will be disgusted even more by the fat pig.

The beauty of this story is that Kerry looks bad either way. Deny it, look like a liar. Admit it, and look like you're soliciting foreign influence over US elections. Americans on either end of the political spectrum don't really dig Monsieur Chirac being involved with our electoral process.Ding Ding Ding!!! We've got a winna'!

"He's obviously - he's met leaders over a period of time," he told "Meet the Press." "And anyone - the CIA knows who they - if the White House is really interested in those leaders, they control the CIA, the CIA gives them those lists." Did you chop this up or is the alcohol abuse really affecting Teddys ability to think and speak.
