A little better. Tried some Tylenol PM, and it was a little scary. The label says to be careful if you have any breathing difficulties. I can see why. The pills dried me out so bad, my tongue was stuck to the roof of my mouth. Fortunately, before I went to bed I had filled a large glass with water. I'm so glad it was right there, because I don't know if I could have gotten up to get a drink of water. It was unsettling. My nose was plugged up too and I could hardly breathe. Yikes!

I sat up for awhile, drinking almost all the water in the large cup (probably 16 ounces).

Well .. I did notice one thing .. there was no pain in my jaw for the first time in over a week. I loved that part, but the dehydrated part was a bummer. I have decided to use only 1 capsule tonight. I did get some much needed rest, and it's the first day I have not had to lay down for over half the day because of the intense pain.

Another lesson I have learned .. having all this dental work done at one time (4 root canals and a pulled tooth) was maybe not such a great idea.

Thanks for asking about me - I've missed being here so much, but I did have a chance to work more on my book today. I am feeling impressed to get it finished quickly.

The rats are after Condi...they are trying to pass the buck on 911...one thing they fail to mention in their attacks...if they warned Condi about AQ, what exactly did they do about it for 8 years...can't have it both ways

The rats ALWAYS try to have it both ways. Smashed-in face Boy is really good at that. (Yes to the Iraq war, no to the Iraq war, yes to the money for the troops, no to the money for the troops...)

I don't have anything to do with The Rules, but I loved your post. The contrast was hilarious.

And Gretchen, tonite's dose is fabulous. They both look great and so loving.

I taped the C-Span re-run of the whole event and as soon as I get my jammies on, I'm gonna enjoy it.

Spent the evening going out to dinner with our son and DIL and doing his taxes. He's getting a Very Nice refund ... and I told him to be sure and vote for Dubya and he'd get it again ... he and his wife lean mildly liberal.

Dick Clarke was special assistant to the President for technical (cyber mostly) affairs. He preceded the appointment of a special Undersecretary of Defense for Intelligence, Dr. Richard Cambone, as well as the Dept. of Homeland Security and was considered a strong candidate for both positions. He wasn't asked to serve in either.

Thing is, Clarke is brilliant and he left the WH, so he said, to work in the private sector as he has kids about to go to college and he flat out needed more money. I believe his entire career has been spent in public office of some kind.

There was lots of speculation about where he would wind up - which defense company would snag him. To this day, I have not heard where he now works, and the fact that he has put out this smear-campaign book on the President just frosts me. He's always been mentioned as a man of hgh intellect and integrity - but here's this lousy book, which I for one will not consider buying.

I can't help but wonder - did he think he was going to become head of Dept. of Homeland Security? Or the Pentagon Undersecretary for Intelligence (the first time a department such as this has been set up, can you believe?)

But Clarke has always believed that the terrorists would attack us in our infrastructure - the main part of that being the Internet. And that has always been his viewpoint. He's had blinders to any other suggestions that the next terrorist attack might come from a source other than on the Internet.

Thought you'd like to know. I am friends with a man who considers himself "Clarke's best friend" - that's how I know all of this stuff.

Gretchen, that's a great first picture. I watched the rally today, and our Laura was wonderful. She is our secret weapon. Thank God for the woman behind the man.

I think he cares a lot more about winning in 2004 than he did in 2000.

9/11 changed everything. He said today that he will NEVER forget 9/11. Neither will we. Four More Years. Please God.

I agree .. I have contended for years that the Clinton leftovers are a real problem. And .. I believe they are the source of most of the "unnamed sources" within the admin who leak all the wrong stuff. I also believe they are used by Hillary to find out things about what the admin is doing which are really none of her business.

I guess I had forgotten about Clarke being demoted. That could be the source for the garbage book .. just like the first Treasury Secretary who O'Neill.

I have tons of books - all those you mention - but I just haven't gotten to them yet.

His smirk. ...

I LOVE his smirk. It's what my husband calls his "$hit eating grin". LOL It is too cute. You'll just have to work on your husbands family. Knowing how close you are --- no problem, right? LOL

Speaking of Lipfinity by MaxFactor, and the Color Stay (??) by CoverGirl, they are FABULOUS. I wear them every day. The best part is that they don't "bleed" into the lines around the lips of those of us over "40" LOL Great products. I do have to keep applying the gloss, though, as the lips do get dry with this product.

Morning Bump, thank Gretchen!

One of these days, I'm going to see a Bush2004 Lapel Sticker or Pin on someone at these campaign rallies.

I heard another great comment this AM--if the Clintoon admin. had such a great plan to get UBL and protect us from AQ, why didn't they use it?

As slimy as the C. Admin was, ANY smart president would check out their claims very carefully before doing anything, anyway.

I didn't know Tylenol PM could do that. I've never taken it but will rem. that. I haven't seen that type of label on a bottle before, either.

But I am glad you got some rest. That's an important part of healing. Good thing it's over!

Did you ever tell me what your book is about? I'd love to hear about it! (I'm an author too)
