IAmNotAnAnimal: My thoughts on the Fayetteville, NC "pro-peace" March

My thoughts on my first Freep ever today in Fayetteville, NC. I arose early and set out on my two hour journey to Fayetteville. During the course of my trip, I kept going over different scenarios in my mind on responses to any sort of idealogical or factual argument I may have with the other side. I admit I was a little stressed.

arriving, the word was that we would have about 30 FReepers (if lucky), and that there were going to be about 1,500 "peace" people. As we gathered and waved our flags, spoke our mantras, the "enemy" slowly ascended the hill. My anxiety about being quick-witted in response to reasoned arguments rapidly vanished. The rag-tag crew that ascended the hill (about 600-700) people looked to be a mish mash of seasoned citizens wearing torn clothing and trash bags, and junior high school students waving such signs as "My dad is a Navy veteran, and he opposes the war".

Okay, so where's your dad? I can't help but mention the ecletic dancer with black and red hair who was "dancing" to the beat of homemade drums. It made me long for the sixties, even though I was born in 1968. I looked around at the 90, yes 90 Freepers and family assembled, all with flags and signs, reciting the pledge of allegiance, I looked at the Vietnam Vets against John Kerry, the veterans from various wars, the wives, and the babies, and then I had to laugh. Not at us, at them. I saw signs that were very germane from "Affordable Housing" to "Dennis Kuchinic" (who)?, and other such mind provoking drivel. I had to laugh, I just had to.

The reporter asked me if I had lost my legs in combat. I explained to the reporter that I had leg braces on, as exhibited by my very visible feet, that my legs were still there.

We marched behind this stately peaceful crowd where we joined up with our brothers and sisters in leather and on Harleys.

We would have loved to debate the other side, but no one seemed to want to come to "the line" to do that. So, I just watched one misguided veteran from the 101st, who upon weighing roughly 300 pounds shout to us that we didn't "get it". I would've shouted back, but he had already turned and gone down the hill, presumptively to get another hot dog.

The FReepers were great, it was like being amongst old friends, but I had just met them. We all shared in fellowship, and were quick to offer help to those who needed it. I would like to thank all the FReepers who were there for their kindness and patriotism. I am only left with one question - when we got to the park there were about a hundred open black umbrellas laying on the side of the "peace" people, and it wasn;t raining. What gives?

Looking forward to the next one. Ranger out.

That is disgusting, but after attending the "peace" rally here in F'ville, I can't say it surprises me. Judging from the palm trees in the background, I would guess CA or FL.

Also, I notice the coward is hiding her (?) face behind the sign; reminds me of terrorists who mask their faces!

Because A.N.S.W.E.R is a world wide organization that has full-time paid people on board at all times. This is their job. They consolidate many off-the-wall organizations (housing? and Free Palestine?)

They join with liberal university organizations and other student-oriented groups who are too young and naive to know any better.

Mr. Mojo, these people are takers. They are the givers, the ones - the ones who honestly care and want to hand something over to the next generation and by that I mean FReedom!

They have no concept of the word - they don't even understand that without the sacrifices of our fathers and mothers and grandparents all the way back through to the Revolution, we wouldn't be here.

No wait, let me rephrase that, we would be here but we would have the freedom to do what we did this weekend. We wouldn't be able to stand up to corruption in the government, walk the streets with a modicum of safety at all.

No. We get more across by staying away from the violence. We are by no means passive, but we are not going to become violent. That destroys everything we work for.

Well, I guess if we paid people to come we might more, but we don't. People to ours because they are honestly concerned with what is happening in our country and want to see the wrongs righted the correct way.

DID TERESA HEINZ KERRY FINANCE ANTI-WAR DEMONSTRATIONS THIS WEEK-END?

I’ve been hearing Teresa Heinz Kerry wife of John F Kerry, internationalist, financed the anti-war demonstrations this past week-end. I have been unable to confirm this. Does anyone here at FR have any information regarding this? I have not seen any postings here at FR regarding this.

Teresa Heinz and John Kerry are well-known NWO-Elite internationalist caring very little for America and Americans. Are these large demonstrations against President Bush flowing from the Kerry Campaign, financed by the Tide Foundation controlled by Teresa Heinz Kerry?

Actually, it averaged out to about 174 in our group and people who read about it in the paper and came to us to show their support for the troops!

Don't forget the Vet against Kerry group and the citizens who didn't belong to any group that showed up.

It was across the country. Lowbridge, sometimes numbers seem daunting but they are what counts. It is sincerity, love of country and respect for the Constitution and the Flag. The Revolution was fought and won by less than a third of all people living here. I believe that is the correct number.

Change always startes with a few people and slowly moves outward...
