Good choice! Belinda Stronach was inexperienced and would have been disaster her first time in a national campaign. She should get a couple of years experience as a backbench MP in the House Of Commons or as a Cabinet Minister (if the Conservatives win) and then run for party leader. Stephen Harper is a good choice for the CP. He's strong in Western Canada and has now has the support of the majority of the party behind him. The CP is now well positioned after its leadership battle, to look forward to the federal election when it happens. Which is probably whenever Prime Minister Paul Martin and the Liberals think they have a chance to win.

Bill Clinton was her campaign advisor, or so it appeared. Wonder what compensation he received in return for his services?

It goes on to show no one seen around Clinton has prospered. I can't wait for him to hog the TV during the Democratic Convention this summer and to "help" John F. Kerry on the campaign trail with appearances in the fall.

It's a good thing she didn't win because it seems to be common gossip from Rush Limbaugh on through, that The Bent One has been slipping Belinda more than just his advice.
What's more, his efforts have been met with appreciation if not adoration by Belinda - which is enough to make you question her fitness for office.
I can't imagine the hell it would be as a taxpayer to have Slick Willy paying regular visits to Belinda as PM and staying over in the Canadian equivalent of the Lincoln bedroom - as just a guest, of course.

"So Clinton's girlfriend lost? Awwww."

Ol' X42 is amassing quite a record of advising/campaigning for candidates that subsequently lose, isn't he?

Yes indeed, we have just finished paying $29,242 for a new dining room carpet for Rideau Hall because of red wine stains caused by the Governor General's guests.

Who knows what we would have had to replace at 24 Sussex Drive, and caused by who knows what kind of stains.

Belinda Stronach supported changing the definition of marriage to include same sex couples. She is no conservative, imo.

"The tired, old, corrupt Liberal party is cornered like an angry rat," he said. "They are going to attack us like never before."

They're the same everywhere.
