He's black. His father had the seat before him. He was the critter who was going to go up against Pelosi for the Leader's job and backed off early. I like him but he is for Affirmative Action as is. Playing the middle in the dem party.

Harold Ford is too young to be VP.

Max Cleland is a possibility, although Kerry is already strong on the Vietnam War issue.

I disagree on that, and I know I'll get flamed for "dishonoring" an American hero, but both JohnFinKerry and Cleland have already dishonored good and honorable men with their despicable actions.

JohnFinKerry with his questionable medals, his anti-war activities that border on treason and his throwing away of his medals (albeit someone elses, which in my boodk just makes it worse).

Cleland with his allowing staffers to present him as an "uber"hero, by intimating, by hinting, by allowing the public to assume and not correcting the assumption, that lost those limbs in the heat of battle, as opposed to losing them in an accident.

I think that has alienated a lot of veterans, especially those that have been there, so to speak. I have every regard for the accomplishments that Cleland has made, his overcoming of that handicap, but he did allow the story to be distorted for political gain and that is just wrong.

I wouldn't have voted for either one of them, anyway, especially that POS Kerry, but I do think that he's blown it with quite a few DIMocRATS, too, with his near-treasonous activities, his lying and flip-flopping.

No, JohnFinKerry has enough baggage to tote without toting Clelands, too.

You'll not see Cleland there with him.

McCain is out. He wouldn't go that far. Ford (calls himself Black) is not needed as most Blacks vote Dum anyway. I see Democrat without much baggage - somebody like Gephart (yecch) or a Feinstein...maybe Richardson (half Mexican) for the Southwest factor. He tries so hard to come across as a conciliator...but is transparently a leftist on all issues.

Roger Clinton? Al Sharpton ? Would the Constitution allow him two veeps, if it took two of his choices to make approximately one? Say two half ass, two half wit, or one half ass and one half wit to produce the gray matter equal to one average whole wit or a complete ass?

And Torrecclli couldn't be replaced in the NJ election. Right. I highly doubt the "new tone" GOP will go after a black guy running for the VP spot. Easily demagouged and the spineless GOPers will run with a tail between their legs.

I think the likely choices would be either McCain, on some sort of National Unity ticket, or Edwards on a Democrats unite concept. Kerry really wants to be President--look at his own money he threw into the Primaries. He is not going to experiment with any minority or feminist concept.

Incidentally, the trial baloons on McCain have been flying around. Don't be surprised if there is an announcement in a couple of months. Also, do not be surprised if the Democrats suddenly appear to be moving sharply to the Right. The quest for power, not ideology drives most of Washington--on both sides of the aisle. (Or how else does one explain the farce that goes on in Congress.)

No, I do not claim inside information. But I have been watching our politics--and observing the hypocrisy of politicians--for a very long time.

Okay, now all of that rings a bell. I didn't realize he was so light skinned. He is perhaps only half black?

He would be a smart choice but I think the RATs are too mad to make a choice like that. I think it will be Graham or Clinton. The left is in a liberal purist mood. Graham would be strategically smarter than Clinton, but those riding strong emotion often can't help themselves. I think there is a strong chance it will be Clinton. If it is, we will win.

Hey, seriously . . . Young, beautiful, brilliant, PhD, victim, black, got the race pandering thing down pat, worked for Gore, the anti-Condoleezza . . . Now what lib wouldn't vote for that ticket? ;-)

(Never mind that 80% of America hates her . . . The same could be said of Hillary.)

John Kerry's running mate is himself. His current position runs directly away from his previous one.

Mary Landrieu is it.

She puts Louisiana in play, helps in Florida, as well as with the women who will vote for any female, but at the same time, helps Kerry with moderates since she was pro-Iraq war, is a strong proponent of missile defense, as well as voting to ban Partial Birth Abortions. A male with her views wouldn't be tolerated with those positions, but since she is a woman, she would get a pass from the special interest groups.

She seriously would be about the most ideal candidate for Kerry. If I was a dimocrat, that is what I would advise him to do. That being said, he will pick some old tired person like Gephardt who can't even win their own state.

Who knows, maybe Louisiana boy Carville will whisper into Frenchy's ear about Landrieu though. Bush/Cheney would still be quite favored to win, but Landrieu gives Kerry a fighting shot in 2 southern states, as well as forcing the President/VP to spend more time in Louisiana in Florida, diverting resources away from Ohio, Missouri.

Mary Landrieu would be the best strategery pick Kerry could make. She also isn't that hard on the eyes for a Dimocrat.

They might pick Clark because they are worried that Bush's strength on national security is a threat to their chances.

McCain.

My greatest specific fear at present.

The best that could come of that would be the final political end of both men. What a blessing that would be.

Dan

PS -- well, okay, that's not the best. The best would be if they partnered, and both were convicted of their sins, repented, were soundly converted to the Lord Jesus Christ, and began serving Him publicly and doing their nation (rather than their egos) some good.
