[history]
As John Kerry (search) was snowboarding down Idaho's Bald Mountain, the Bush-Cheney campaign was racing headlong in challenging the Democrat's credentials, a contrast that raised questions about the timing of the presumptive presidential nominee's vacation.
President Bush, Vice President Dick Cheney (search) and senior administration officials have been challenging Kerry's claims of support from foreign leaders while the campaign has criticized the four-term Massachusetts senator's votes on defense and foreign policy. The campaign also has unleashed ads casting Kerry as a waffler and weak on military issues.

So will JFKerry take a midnight flight to Babylon?

Also, why is Kerry skiing in IDAHO? He should be skiing in Nevada/California/New Mexico, where he might sway some key votes. Idaho is Bush country.

Think campaigning and fundraisers and cocktail parties are tiring? Try being leader of the free world.

Read more carefully - the word used was "define", not "defend".

"This guy has been wide-open, nonstop for months," said veteran Democratic consultant Dane Strother, who noted that an exhausted candidate is a dangerous candidate. "You leave yourself open to the possibility of making a major gaffe. You've got to recharge at some point."My favorite quote of the whole article.
Psst....too late!
Kerry has already said "I voted for the $89 billion before I voted against it."
To: CA Conservative
Ok. This language is still troublesome, like these people have to "define" Kerry---as if his actions don't define him!

I was a SAHM with my kids. My oldest was with me 24/7. She was not in daycare and did not go to pre-school. She also had no kids in the neighborhood her age to play with. She was very loving and cuddly at home. Her first experience with all the interaction was in kindergarten. It took her some time to learn to socialize in the "accepted and normal" way that was expected from public schools. Given time and support she gradually learned how to fit in with all the "already socialized" kids. Just be patient. At this age, all kids mature and react differently to new situations. The daughter I mentioned is now 20 and has no problem socializing in any setting. I also recently found out that she will make me a first time grandma come October. My most important advice to you is....you know your child better than anyone. Follow your own instincts and trust yourselves as parents. Nowadays, everyone thinks that everyone that may be a little "different"...needs a label.

If he is supposed to be on vacation, taking a break and recharging... why is he still so angry and cursing? I believe Kerry has already defined himself and there's no going back now. Vacation or no vacation.

He is skiing in Idaho because the gracious and lovely Terayza Heinz owns a $5 million dollar vacation home in Sun Valley, that's why. Also revealed this morning is the fact that the Heinz-Kerry's gotb the taxpayers of Idaho to change the flow of a river so that they could water the plants in their $250,000 landscaping.

Why does he need a vacation, that wuss. He hasn't been meeting his senatorial obligations, just campaigning. And if campaigning wears out poor, little Johnny...Sheesh.

So in the mean time, the Kerry campaign is going to work on highlighting his differences with Bush? Go right ahead. Please. We would love for your campaign to spend money showing that Bush will fight the terrorists and lower taxes while Kerry will surrender to terrorists and raise taxes.

Defining Kerry is easy... He is on vacation when he should be fulfilling his duties as a US Senator... The Senate is in session.
When he got the nomination Bob Dole resigned rather than be irresponsible toward the people of Kansas.
Once again, John Kerry is giving an insight into his true self-serving character.

..the Heinz-Kerry's got the taxpayers of Idaho to change the flow of a river ?
Incredible.
