NEWTON, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 18, 2004--Supporters inspired by the campaign of Howard Dean have launched a new web movie that joins the former Presidential contender's renewed push for change. The movie, created by Cinemetrix of Newton, Massachusetts on behalf of independent followers, thanks Dean for his successful effort in energizing the Democratic party and preparing the electorate for the forthcoming campaign.

The timing for this intense grassroots effort couldn't be better, as Dean is poised to announce his new organization for political change, Democracy for America, today in Seattle and San Francisco.
The new movie, which can be seen at www.ThankYouHoward.com, focuses on Dean's political values and the kind of person he is. Besides thanking Dean for being a candidate this year, it also emphasizes his message on healthcare coverage for all Americans, creating jobs through a balanced budget, a foreign policy based on cooperation among allies, and an environmental policy that sets new directions for the long term.
The movie also reminds voters about Dean's background and his values, and includes excerpts of interviews with Dean family members and longtime friends. It is the second web movie that Cinemetrix has created to spread the Dean message; the first was produced for the Dean for America campaign.
In a Feb. 26 message to supporters, Dean said he would continue to "promote grassroots democracy and bring new people into politics." He also said his new organization would use "our nationwide grassroots network, to continue our work to transform the Democratic Party and to change America." Following the Dean creed of encouraging grassroots action, this second movie is an independent effort, not part of Democracy for America.
Just as with the campaign itself, the movie can potentially play a significant role in presenting and describing the new organization's objectives. "Political newcomers, as well as those who have become disenchanted with the process, look to Howard Dean for inspiration; that is why this movie was developed," said Denise deMurcie, president of Cinemetrix. "Web movies are an up-and-coming mechanism to convey messages quickly across the country, and we are proud to have participated in both this new, independent message as well as the one used by the Dean campaign."
Democracy for America, to be announced today, will continue to foster change in the political process from the ground-up, by motivating and educating people about politics. "The movie can play an essential role in this process," deMurcie added.

I wish I could be on the cover of time (yes, lower case). Then I would become the frontrunner.

"The Howard Dean Blues."
Oh my gosh! I thought. What happened? So, I had one of my employees watch the new Howard Dean video and I didn't watch the screen. I put on some ear protectors so I couldn't hear the video. After exactly 15 seconds the employee jumped up and started banging their head against the well. Wow, I thought.
So, I had everyone go into the conference room that has the big projector and speakers and watch the video (I didn't). After 15 seconds people started banging their heads against the walls. Unfortunately, the machine and projector in there was setup to loop that type of video. So, the video would stop then start again. After 15 seconds people would start to bang their heads against the wall again. With all the screaming and noise someonecalled 9/11 and the fire department came. They rushed into the room and the Dean video which was off came on again. Now, I have all these people bleeding from their heads and the walls are covered in blood.
I'm not sure what is happening. SWAT is here now and a bunch of lawyers just showed up and some guys from OSHA.
All I can say is NEVER LISTEN TO HOWARD DEAN FOR MORE THAN 15 SECONDS!

They seem harmless.
I'd argue it applies to him as well.
