A professor who claimed she was targeted in a hate crime that stirred student protests at the Claremont colleges is suspected of staging the vandalism herself, police said Wednesday.
Kerri F. Dunn's car was vandalized and covered with racist, anti-Semitic and sexist epithets on March 9, leading faculty to cancel classes and students to stage rallies the following day.

Kerri "F." Dunn
I'm Pitzer College, class of 95. Been getting emails on this "hate crime" for days. I sooooo haven't been giving a damn about it. But this is hilarious.
My latest email:
******************************************************************* Alumni Newsbytes Distribution List ******************************************************************* We apologize to all alumni who received a handful of emails last week following our announcement regarding the hate crime that took place in Claremont. We experienced a glitch with our email server which allowed anyone on the recipients list the ability to send email through the distribution list. The Alumni Office would also like to offer our sincere apologies to Jeanne Gural '00 graduate of the New Resources program. Because of this glitch, Jeanne was placed in a situation of having a private message publicly displayed. This alumni-newsbytes list is intended for limited communication from the Alumni Office only, and is not meant to be a discussion distribution list, and we apologize for the barrage of emails generated last week. The Alumni Office encourages open discussion, debate and the sharing of thoughts and feelings, and we invite you to make use of the Alumni Talk Discussion Forum: Please use this place for thoughtful and respectful exchange and dialogue in the Pitzer spirit. ******************************************************************* Recent Events In Claremont - UPDATE ******************************************************************* Press release from the Claremont Police Department: HATE CRIME INCIDENT ON MARCH 9TH, 2004 Detectives from the Claremont Police Department and Agents from the FBI are continuing to follow-up on many leads regarding the hate crime incident that occurred on 3-9-04 at the Claremont Colleges. As a result of the continuing investigation, several witnesses to the incident have come forward and provided significant information. The Claremont Police Department is urging any additional witnesses or anyone with information relating to this incident to contact either Lieutenant Stan Van Horn or Detective Eric Huizar at (909) 399-5420.
As the investigation continues Pitzer administration, faculty and students continue to explore issues related to tolerance and to discuss ways that an academic community can address these issues in our world.
Quote from Pitzer College President Laura Skandera Trombley at a rally on the Mounds last Wednesday: "These events are tragic, disturbing and unacceptable. They have created a climate of fear in people and made us less secure in our community. The hate crime that occurred last night deeply affects our mission and personal safety. The vicious, hateful crime was designed to destroy the heart of our community, but as long as I am president of this college I will not let it happen. As one faculty member reminded me, we are the conscience of the Claremont Colleges consortium. I believe we are the leader. People who commit these kinds of acts will not succeed in their aim."
rofl! Where do these chicks get their names?
Couldn't the FBI compare handwriting in her notes to what was scrawled on the car to see if there are any similarities? This woman is still innocent until proven guilty.
If completely different, it would tend to point towards another person's spraycan, but if similar, she's in deeper doo-doo.

ROFL!! gasping for air.....!
Here's another piece on this dunn deception. She's actually a very stupid person. The responding officers must have been suspicious the moment they saw the car, because the grafitti covered almost every "oppressed" group and were too neatly sprayed. The article I linked, suggests that Dunn has cost the community and the college quite a bit of money this week.
"could somebody please remember to get the fries supersized this time?"
Looks like laura sangiacoma after her famous case of donette's and half a cow, three bags of french fries and a supersize malt diet...
somebody get me that shopping cart... thar she blows!
From their New Age, crystal-gazing, pretentious parents? Just a wild guess. ;-)
But Lindsey Wollschlager, 21, a Pomona history major from Cannon Falls, Minn., dismissed the idea of a hoax. She said that for someone to raise the possibility was "so sick. They are in denial. People don't want to accept that a well-educated, liberal community can have hate."
Wonder what this moron thinks now?
Man, those '90 Hondas are nice for transpo. How could she be so wasteful? Didn't her parents (between tokes) teach her not to be so wasteful?
Good post. I'd love to see the next hoaxer to be charged with perpetrating a hate crime.

NYC, I think she is actually agreeing with you that there can be nasty, hateful people even within a tree-hugging, lefty, liberal environment.
