Since RU-486 is only for early abortions, I consider dying from using it in the second trimester to be

You mean it wasn't an accidental firearm discharge? Well, then nothing to see here.

So - she was 15, the boyfriend 24. Did the clinic notify the police so that he could be charged with statutory rape? </sarcasm off>

Way back prior to Roe vs. Wade legal abortions (various states) were done as inpatients in hospitals. The abortionists were required to be trained and they were to be done early.
The evidence supporting "safe" abortions was developed by records of abortions done in the State of New York.
after Roe vs. Wade all the safety requirements that were encouraged and required in New York were made illegal and unenforceable by Roe.
In like manner all the safety requirements that were developed by the original manufactures of RU 486 that were used to show its effectiveness and safety for approval by the FDA were promptly ignored by the abortion industry as soon as they got it into the USA.
A crafty lot of dishonest killers are they. And they continue on.

What was a 15 year old doing having sex anyway. That's way too young. Maybe her age had something to do with her dying from the RU486.
Either way, I have heard that a lot of feminists don't like RU486. They only reluctantly supported it once it came out because they realized that it would be against the pro choice philosophy to oppose it.
I personally feel that it would be better if the pill replaced the doctor-performed abortion. I think a doctor is violating his oath by performing an abortion, and it would be better for the woman to just handle it herself, in her own home.

The proponents of Roe vs. Wade claimed that thousands of women died each year from illegal abortions. Their argument for making abortion legal was that it would save lives. However, the year before Roe vs. Wade the Centers for Disease Control reported less than 40 deaths due to illegal abortions.
I am willing to bet that more women die each year from so called "safe" and "legal" abortions than died before abortion was legalized.
