islamists require no rational reason to hate the west. Their faith offers no cleansing of personal sins other than through jihad, therefore they need an enemy, that's all there is to it. There can be no reasoning with these people, no Kerryesque "war of ideas". The way to win the war of ideas with islam is eleminate the people with the wrong idea.

Why Do the Islamists Hate the West?I couldn't care less. The time for worrying about that is 3 years+ past. Now, it's just a matter of all the extemists dying...and painfully, I hope.

Islam teaches fatalism, not advancement and creativity.
Western christianity teaches improvement and creativity.
It seems basic beliefs of Islam have to change before significant social changes can take place.

Doesn't really matter why anymore. This is going to cont. until it ends with one defeated. This is one thing the libs/dims can't wish away and it will be the end of all but a small amount of power for them. The islamofascists will not stop and everyone will eventually recognize it.....after the death many people.

A better question is why Westeners hate the West? Having seen the backward, repressive, and brutal conditions created by competing societies and ideologies, how can sane people prefer those conditions over Capitalist democracy?

Against this background, we may want to consider the question asked by hand-wringers in the West: Why do they hate us? Maybe it is because the alternative to hating us is to hate themselves.This is exactly the same impulse that, right here in River City, contaminates the anti-capitalist, anti-Christian, anti-American left. It's not surprising that the domestic left is discovering the islamofascists as allies of convenience. The axis of resentment. I was wondering who was going to replace the communists as the darlings of the left, now I clearly see that it is the islamunists. Ironic thing is, the islamofacists would deny to the hard left everything they hold dear.
