Q. Have the media treated you fairly?
A.Absolutely not. There was a tinge of racism, as if I wasn't supposed to go downtown. I was running for President, not the 'King of the Ghetto.' The media knew if I threw fund raisers at five star hotels it would be no different than other candidates having fund raisers at elaborate places.
Q.Your campaign was dogged by questions about its financing and lavish spending and is being investigated by the Federal Election Commission for possible violations.
A. The FEC is investigating whether I lived off the campaign and spent too much of personal money. Its already said there is nothing against the rules in using five-star hotels for fund raisers and stying where we stayed.

It was all the whitey liberal journalists fault! (as usual)

Al, you weren't treated that way because you're black; you were treated that way because you are an obnoxious, pompous, insignificant little worm.

Oh come on, you guys!
You KNOW that if a fine, upstanding, honest, credible, decent, man such as the Reverend Al Sharpton was a white man, he'd have been ushered into the White house with the red carpet rolled out for him!
But NO! We'd rather have a corrupt, unreliable, dis-honest WHITE weasel running for the Democratic ticket!
If that ain't racism, I don't know what is! ;)

Fat Al's disappointed he didn't make the kind of showing he wanted. What the heck, he's always been good for the laughs!

If Sharpton was white, he would never have even made the stage. It's only because he is black that the media treated him seriously enough to include him in the debate. Hell, Lyndon LaRouche has a bigger political base.

In terms of pure entertaiment value, 'Reverand' Al is alomost worth the $100,000 from the IRS tax check off that he probably will be paid.

'King of the Ghetto' bump!

On the radio yesterday Don Imus played a clip from a recent Al Sharpton campaign appearance someplace in New York City (I think), in which Sharpton complained about all the "minority issues" that were being ignored by the candidates -- "racial profiling" and "heavy-handed police tactics" foremost among them.
Leave it to Imus to point out that a loud police or ambulance siren could be heard in the background for the entire duration of the Sharpton clip.

Remember Ann Coulter's slogan for Al's campaign: "Hello, room service!" Beautiful. Just beautiful.

A pompous moron who has a penchant for staying in five star hotels on the FEC's dime...I never did like that checkoff on the tax form anyway!

Wheres the Carol Mostley Fraud picture with one person at her rallies?

Hey Al, you chose the Democratic Party. Live with it.
Really though, I thought it was King of the Ghetto that you were running for. Maybe you should have made it more clear what you were running for. Not that it would have changed anything.
Call Jesse Jackson, he is in need of a spokeman. Plus he just may put you up in those high priced hotels.
To: taxesareforever
I think we should have a 'King of the Ghetto' Rev. Al election every 4 years, something has to fill the time for 8 months
To: threat matrix
That I wasn't elected is proof of raceism? Interesting logic. I could probably sell him my nationally famous wild elephant repellant. It must work: I've never seen a wild elephant.
To: JustPlainJoe
I agree with your assessment. I wish the Reverend would reconsider his decision to pull out of the race. My only hope is that he is given the appropriate opportunity to address his concerns to the Democrat Party and the nation at this summer's convention.
