BRUSSELS, Belgium (Reuters) -- Poland has vowed not to pull troops out of Iraq because of "terrorist" attacks and said it was willing to remain in command of a stabilisation force there if Spain, which had been due to take over, withdrew.

I can only hope that both Russia and Poland will understand that the West (and I include y'all under that aegis) is now fully engaged in what could be called World War Three, and what is in fact the latest - perhaps final - round of what should be called World War Zero - a war that has been ongoing for 1400 years.
Please, I pray that both you two personally and your two great countries in general can unite in amity and solidarity against the common and implacable foe.

"zastaw sie a postaw sie". I think closest one would be put at or shut up --- by even that will not come close to it. I don't think there is any translation for that. But I know what you mean.

As the radio commentator Paul Harvey says at the end of a story about a brave person doing
good and fighting for the right:
"Lead On!"

If I use russian same root words it may sound like: " defend it or let it go":).
Polish very resembles rather ancient russian language of middle ages then modern but one may recognise same-root words.

There is one mystery about Slavic people. We argue, we debate, and sometimes we fight against each other. But when we are in danger and confronted and our existence is at stake we do unite. And when that happens then gloves are off. As I said in one of threads before -- either they clean up their house or somebody will. Anything in Poland happens, Muslims better start packing and leave. We will not ask liberals in Brussels or in UN how we should act and how to look at a religion of peace. We will hit. Same goes with USA. If they think they will get away this time I just only say political correctness will be out of the window.

That is close one too. You know --- maybe in just English instead translating, we should say fight or die -- something like that. It is hard to translate this.

Thank you.

"Revising our positions on Iraq after terrorists attacks would be to admit that terrorists are stronger and that they are right (to pursue attacks)," Prime Minister Leszek Miller told a news conference in the Polish town of Tarnow. EXACTLY. Thank God somebody in Europe still has guts. Leave it to the Poles to realize that APPEASEMENT doesn't work when dealing with maniacs and tyrants.
The next time Spain gets bombed and wonders why they're still a target, they'll know why.
