Yes, it's possible to disagree with President Bush and his brother Jeb here in Florida. They are both realistic men.

Yes, I am a Bushbot and proud of it. Gibson is allowed to have his doubts about WMD. I sure do. He is allowed to voice his opinion. Even that big piece of crap Sean Penn is allowed to voice his opinion. People can vote for whomever they please. I intend to vote for George W. Bush because I feel that I can trust him. If I lent him $20 I know that he would pay me back. I can't say that for Kerry.

Ratings ploy. People are going to tune in to hear exactly what Mel says. Knowing Sean, it will be a bait and switch comment anyway. Drudge will only report half the comment, but in the end, Mel will probably say he'd support Bush. Nothing like a little controversy to garner ratings.

I think that if you are honest with yourself, and you do not have doubts about the candidate that you support, than you scare me, get the hell away! Just kidding......

A president who believes in family values, believes in the military, and has a good heart is better than any democrat candidate that I have seen.

That doesn't mean that I don't have doubts about GWB either. I do. And, I will until the economy gets turned around. You judge a president by the economy for the most part. That is the only reason that Clinton was tolerated. He happened to be president during the good times. Unfortunately, we sacrificed alot of our morals during the process.

Voting for Kerry would be the worst thing that would happen to the economy. And, like Clinton he chooses the political side that will benefit him most at any given time. I'm worried though, because the same people that put Clinton in office will be voting again. Republican strategists need to rethink the way they plan to forge ahead with winning this campaign. That is, they need to be less divisive and focus on their strengths. IMHO

No, because it would have come off as shallow and irreverrant. But Gibson's ability to produce / direct an awesome movie does not mean that he's TURNING on his film- goers by doubting the President.

Why don't you all what for the whole interview. This sounds like a "Hannity Hype" to sell something of his. His show for instance. Maybe Mel has doubts about Bush being re elected because of WMD. Heck I have doubts about those. So am I a flaming liberal? I will vote for Bush because of the way he takes it to the Islamofacists.

The best analysis I've seen on FR. What I hear you saying is that there doesn't seem to be much fight in our "leaders". Maybe we are turning the other cheek, which is admirable, but even Christ himself got up and called his attackers and slanderers 'hypocrites' and exposed them for who they were. This is a battle. I doubt it. They'll either vote or not vote for Bush for a variety of reasons and go or not go to the movie for a variety of reasons. Most people don't go or not go to movies based on the policitical leanings of the producers/directors/actors.

Only movies w/ overt and propagandistic political leanings tend to turn off large numbers of viewers like "Runaway Jury" or "Sum of All Fears"

Uhh......NO....I don't! In all of my 60 years NOT ONCE have I looked to the President for a job. Never even considered it and despite the common parlance over the past 12 years that, "It's the ecoomy stupid." etc, I never will JUDGE a POTUS through the prism of whether I have a job or not. I know you said the ECONOMY, but unless there is full blown DEPRESSION, what you are really saying is whether or not you or I have a job.

Sean is wishy washy compared to Rush. I think there's a little bit of a gossip in Sean and it's unbecoming to me, but maybe his audience eats it up, you know, the Hannitization of America.

Rush does not promote himself in that way. NOW I'M HAVING DOUBTS ABOUT HANNITY! Now Sean's talking about Gibson aain. "FULL HOUR on the radio show TOMORROW. Sean likes Gibson as a person. amazing individual. impressed with him. I think you're really gonna like him. Flipper: "It was great listening to him."

Sean: This guy is a smart guy but more importantly, the movie had an impact on Sean. Word of mouth. Number 1 grossing R movie in history of movie making.
