Kerry was involved with, was a member of, an organization that considered assassinating American politicians. His record of having resigned from that organization cannot be found. Much less a public denunciation of it.

Gee, if George Bush had once been involved with such a group...oh never mind.

Let's face it, the story's not going to stay afloat, because it's a Democrat at the center of it. Barnes woke up to find a long-faced donkey head in his bed, dripping Heinz ketchup, and now he remembers things differently. End of story.

You and Carolinamom make a great point about Kerry getting a pass from the media when he knew about the his group's proposed assasination plot to kill senators who supported the war.

If he was a patriotic American, he would have turned these men in for conspiracy to commit murder and denounced the group, not simply resign from the group.

I have not said for sure that Kerry knew. There is credible reporting that three witnessess placed him at the Kansas City meeting. It deserves to be investigated so that we know the truth.

That is the big problem with this bunch, none of them have credibility.

I do agree that an investigation need be done, would be nice if they would produce the minutes of their meetings. Like their "roll call".

Toooo bad JFKerry didn't turn this material over to Brinkley so Brinkley could have put this in his fictional "war hero" creation.

Wonder if JFKerry made movies of his "war protester" days like he made films reenacting his gun battles while he was in Vietnam. Now those films would be entertaining.

You're right about how we word this story. But it does stretch credibility that one of the leaders of the movement wouldn't know what happened in Kansas City, even if he didn't attend. We deserve answers to the questions brought up here. Thanks for posting this story.

Hurley said the speech Musgrave referred to came earlier in the year. “I think he's confusing the St. Louis and the Kansas City meetings" Hurley said. Which meetings did Kerry attend?! One person says he did not attend St. Louis, and evidently Kerry personally denied attending the St. Louis meeting, and then the story changes that Musgrave must be remembering Kerry speaking at the St. Louis meeting because the Kerry camp emphatically denies Kerry ever attended the Kansas City assassination discussion meeting.

Very good point. The article about Musgrave attending the Kansas City meeting says it was his first in a leadership position. It is hard to tell from the way it is phrased if it was his "first" meeting.
