Threat Matrix: Daily Terror Threat - Thread 5
CNN ^ | March 12, 2004

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- This week's deadly train bombings in Spain will not lead to a rise in the U.S. color-coded terror threat alert system, a Department of Homeland Security spokesman said Friday.

"Based on the current intelligence, we have no specific indicators that terrorist groups are considering such an attack in the U.S. in the near term," said department spokesman Brian Roehrkasse.

Hummmmm. Seems they feel something is coming. SNIP

Here's the rub. Acknowledge the fact that Britain is living on borrowed time in respect of avoiding a terrorist outrage and you stand accused of aiding and abetting the men of violence by helping to breed the very fear that paralyses normal life. In effect, you hand them partial victory before a bomb is detonated. Fail to acknowledge it, and you avoid a debate on prevention and pre-emption that needs to take place at a time of relative calm. The tragedy in Spain asks deeper questions than the insistent need to resolve the identity of Thursday's perpetrators.

Yes, that is the only conclusion we can reach - a nuclear holocaust is their fulfillment of a prophecy. They are preparing the world for the return of the Mahdi. In other words, recreating past cataclismic events. As allah won't be helping them, I guess we can paraphrase; allah helps those who help themselves.

What can we do against such a mindset?

did you see this?

Europe responds

Madrid has demonstrated it is not just the institutions of state which are at stake, but the ordinary man and woman in the street too. Public transport systems make them particularly vulnerable. The terrorists have learned that blowing up trains in stations creates far wider damage and injuries than in underground tunnels as occurred in Moscow. Britain's most senior police officer, Sir John Stevens, has disclosed his readiness to deploy the army on the streets of London to guard the capital from terrorist threat. But not even the army would have sufficient troops to search every bag being taken on public transport.

Ironically, the annual human rights debate opens at the United Nations in New York today, a six-week session designed to place a spotlight on violations of political and social rights around the world. Both Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch have rightly warned of the dangers of even liberal democracies, using the new series of terrorist atrocities, to justify abuses of criminal and civil justice systems. This is self-defeating and only helps the terrorist organisations to achieve their goals. A dreadful example in the UK is the asylum bill, which removes judicial review of asylum, and comes before the Lords today.

>>>I see dolphins, they are already reporting deaths of them in Florida and promedmail.org does not know why.

We knew about the divers. So let's assume our intel did too.

If a haarp/tesla toy was used underwater...obviously it would kill more than divers.

So what would the autopsy/cause of death look like? Unknown?

Damn! I can’t either. You know these computer things. Oh well, I came up this instead.

If you see one of these bugs, call Homeland Security immediately…

Or, at least study it closely.

Anyway, the cicadas are a pleasant diversion, but the important news of today is Spain's surrender (more or less) to terrorism.

The Neville Chamerlains of Spain have spoken, and they are trying their best to take over this country as well. God, I hope they don't succeed.

Yet most of our young people haven't the foggiest clue who Winston Churchill was, let alone Neville Chamberlain, since the NEA has made History the exclusive province of Malcolm X and Betty Friedan.

It is as if I realize more than ever before: the entire future of our country depends on such things as conservative talk radio, the internet, and the home schooling movement.

I am not an astronomer, just an avid reader of ancient history in the ME. It has something to do with the position of Venus in relation to the Moon...as shown on their 'Star' and Crescent flag. I have read that historically, such an alignment is unknown and a puzzle to astronomers...gosh, I don't expect their 'predictions' to make sense in the light of current scientific knowledge of the Universe! The arabs are still calculating celestial events from records that existed when they were fleeing the peninsula some three and a half millenia ago...are there any astronomers here? Need help!

"Deadly Bombers Bypass Gaza Fence, Murder 10 at Ashdod Port"
Israel National News ^ | 22:35 Mar 14, '04 / 21 Adar 5764

Posted on 03/14/2004 7:45:24 PM PST by yonif

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "Ten people were murdered today (Sunday) when two terrorists detonated explosives in a port facility in Ashdod. The terrorists, who were residents of Gaza, killed themselves in an attempt to carry out a ‘mega-attack’ that would have released deadly chemicals into the port city.

One of the terrorists made his way into the port’s inner workshop and blew himself up at 4:30 PM. Soon after the first explosion, the second terrorist detonated his explosive vest outside the fence of the port compound. A port official told Israel Radio that it was a miracle the blasts did not rupture a bromide tank and cause an even greater catastrophe.

Dror Lichter, the Lachish district Magen David Adom Commander, reports that his emergency response teams treated a total of 16 wounded. Three of the wounded were in serious condition. The remainder suffered from moderate and light injuries. The victims were transported to Barzalai, Kaplan, and Tel HaShomer Hospitals.

Proponents of the partition wall have always pointed to a security border dividing Gaza from the rest of Israel as a model for the positive role that fences could play in preventing suicide bombings within Israel’s pre-1967 borders. This afternoon’s double suicide bombing may bring such thinking to an end since police report that both attackers reached Ashdod from Gaza.

Southern Region Police Chief Moshe Karadi said that the bombers were using a different type of explosives from the kind usual used in such attacks and may have been trying to detonate the tanks of bromide and other dangerous chemicals stored in the port, in order to cause a far greater number of casualties. "It may be that they accidentally detonated themselves prematurely, before they reached the intended target," Karadi said."
