Hardball Transcript ^ | March 12, 2004 | Chris Matthews

Posted on 03/12/2004 12:11:42 PM PST by ReleaseTheHounds

MATTHEWS: This doctrine of preemptive attack, this whole notion of forward leaning, the lingo of this, the WMD, the regime change, all this new language we‘ve learn in the last years, do you think that‘s him or it‘s the people around him...? ....

CUOMO: No, I think he was pushed by these people.

But I think he started with his own—this is a terrible word—perhaps naive. He hadn‘t traveled around the world....See, what is now clear is, he is simply too simple, to the point of being simplistic.

"See, what is now clear is, he is simply too simple, to the point of being simplistic."

"He thinks all you have to do is be strong, have a strong army, and you‘ll beat anybody. You can‘t win the terrorism war with an army. You obviously can‘t or Sharon would have won it a long time ago in Israel.

See, what is now clear is, Cuomo is simply too idiotic, to the point of being idiotic (and too rich.)

Sharon can't win because his favorite Bl*w buddies at the UN have restrained Israel consistently. Exactly what the leftists want to do to the US--emasculate it!

Tax cuts don't produce jobs or economic growth. What do you propose then tax increases?

Mario and Matthews, two simpletons licking each others' a$$es...

CUOMO: (speaking of the tax cut to the "wealthy") They put it away. And so we say this. We want tax cuts? Yes, for you 140 million workers. Let‘s take the $1 trillion back from the rich people, who do not need it. Remember his first rationale in 2001? I‘m giving the money back because we don‘t need it.

MATTHEWS: Big surplus.

CUOMO: Well, he was wrong.

MATTHEWS: Well, he was right then, but the surplus has disappeared.

Note to Cuomo, when money is "put away," it isn't taken out of circulation. It is lent to others who use it to consume.

Note to Matthews, when tax cuts are used to reduce a surplus of money, the surplus of money disappears! If done right, you are left with...

nothing.

Speaking of simple, here's a pretty good quote:

From Ronald Reagan... "The Speech" (October 1964): They say the world has become too complex for simple answers. They are wrong. There are no easy answers, but there are simple answers. We must have the courage to do what we know is morally right. Winston Churchill said that "the destiny of man is not measured by material computation. When great forces are on the move in the world, we learn we are spirits-not animals." And he said, "There is something going on in time and space, and beyond time and space, which, whether we like it or not, spells duty."

In retrospect, I'll take Mario's criticism of W as a great compliment... he's more like Reagan than one might suspect.

Cuomo's way too cold and ugly to be this big a sanctimonious piece of lying crap. And, yet, I can't help but look forward to seeing Cuomo all over the airwaves campaigning for Miss Kerry.

Yes, I heard some of it today on Hannity's talk show. What a joke.
The amount of misinformation and propaganda all over the liberal media is astounding.

If conservatives and the Bush team don't do a better job of countering it with the TRUTH, Bush will lose in November.
