Kerry Previews His General Election Attacks

On the day that Senator Kerry emerged as the Democrats’ presumptive nominee, President Bush called to congratulate him. That goodwill gesture has been met by attacks and false statements. John Kerry yesterday, on President Bush:

"Let me tell you, we've just begun to fight," Kerry said. "We're going to keep pounding. These guys are the most crooked, you know, lying group I've ever seen. It's scary."

Note to Senator Kerry: We don't think you're a crook, but we do think that raising taxes and refusing to acknowledge that the war on terror is actually a war are what's really scary to American voters.

Thanks! Can you believe Kerry? Going to be a long election with Kerry as their candidate. If he is this bad now, can you imagine how bad he will be in the months ahead.

My thought is with you - he knew absolutely he had an open mike.

What better way to feed red meat to his base - by saying "Republicans are liars and crooked". They believe that anyway - that feeds into their rabid hatred of Bush.

It's a deaniac moment that he can disavow by saying he didn't know he was being overheard. It sounds so scripted. If he really thought he was talking privately, I don't think that's what he would have said.

Actually, I think he is a crook. I further think that if the details of his "blind trust" investment were revealed, we would soon see that his sell out on the POW/MIA issue was motivated by and resulted in unethical and illegal economic gain for his personal benefit.

Heard Rush the other afternoon talking about how Kerry would compare the size of his yacht which is huge to the someone who owns a regular yaght. Rush said that Kerry is so arrogant that he would compare the size of the yachts. Cannot believe this man is running for President and the thought of his current wife in the White House gives me the creeps.

If he is this bad now, can you imagine how bad he will be in the months ahead.

He is desperate, and trying to keep President Bush back on his heels. He knows the shock and awe is coming, after all the President and his team are just dotting theirI's and crossing their T's for the coming campaign. For a guy who is against pre-emptive attacks against a deadly enemy, he shows no compunction against them when it is in his benefit. He should have the same attitude against the terrorists.

Isn't that the truth -- he is attacking Pres Bush more than he ever has the terrorists! Do believe his comments after Pres Bush called him to congratulate him is not going to go over very well with the Texan in the WH. There is a reason for that statement Don't Mess with Texas! :)

You are so right! I was listening to Rush about his press conference. Rush said that the base for Kerry would have been furious if he apologized. That may be the case but I will bet the President's base is even madder!

After watching today's Kerryconference, you can only assume that it was scripted.

That gave him the opportunity to come back lookin tough, (which he isn't), by saying I MAKE NO APOLOGY, all the while backed by the biggest group of Senate weasels, like Leahy, Kennedy, Rockyfeller, et al, ad nauseum.

I love the idea of the Republican Attack Ping list. Maybe the Republican Desert Storm Ping list. Any WARLIKE analogy works for me.

After all, what is the most common gagging mantra of the RATS.
