The Ethics Commission voted Monday night to investigate possible violations of the city public records law by its executive director, Ginny Vida, and Deputy Executive Director Mabel Ng.
Ng ordered two employees to destroy documents accidentally released by Mayor Gavin Newsom's inaugural committee to the commission. After consulting with the city attorney's office, Vida supported Ng's decision.
