WASHINGTON, March 9 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Dr. William F. Schulz, executive director of Amnesty International USA, released the following statement on Circuit Judge LeRoy F. Millette Jr.'s decision to uphold the jury's recommendation of death for John Allen Muhammad:
"The death sentence for John Allen Muhammad means that the killing associated with the Washington, D.C. area sniper case will continue. More than half the world's nations already have abandoned the use of the death penalty. The U.S. should demonstrate leadership on this issue by following up on President Bush's commitment to stand firm for the 'non-negotiable demands of human dignity.' The continued use of the death penalty -- which is known to be arbitrary, riddled with error and biased -- is the ultimate denial of human rights and should be abolished."
For more information on the death penalty: http://www.amnestyusa.org/abolish
Amnesty International opposes the death penalty in all cases without exception as it is the ultimate denial of human rights, and we will continue to demand unconditionally its worldwide abolition.

Killing this POS is more merciful than handing him to the families he has assaulted.

"The U.S. should demonstrate leadership on this issue ..."
well, actually, we ARE demonstrating leadership, by showing the world that "yes, Virginia, there are some people who are so bad that killing them as penalty for their crimes leaves the world no poorer."
now, if only the world would be so wise as to follow...

I've decided that a lot of the political action groups are really close to being brainwashed/cult type..and this isnt' the tin foil type of thought. They truly do not understand the meaning of paying for consequences and justice.

Glen Beck suggested a punishment for Muhammed on his show today. While on Death Row, every day, prison guards would take him to Virginia or Maryland, where he would have to pull an 8-hour shift every day, pumping gas at a service station.
On random days, FBI sharpshooters would use him for target practice. "Today, we wing him on the left shoulder!" He knows he's in constant danger, but he's kept alive for a while, so that every day he wonders if today will be the last, if today is the day when they finally line up the crosshairs between his twisted, soulless eyes and... THAT AIN'T BAD AT ALL!
made my day.
thanks!

Bah...they cry foul because we execute a killer but turn a blind eye to thousands killed each year by the likes of China or N. Korea.

The real humane thing to do with John Allen Muhammad would be to release him into the loving arms of the families of the infidels he slaughtered like sheep.

Schulz, you know nussing, dumbkopf.
"The killing associated with the sniper case will continue."
Schulz, you and Amnestiacs must stop pissing on our legs and telling us it's raining.
When allied armies converged on Berlin and der Fuerher sucked a bullet, the killing associated with his extermination of millions, his unprovoked barbaric massacres which murdered millions more, the nightmare of years of horror and suffering continued--
--for that shot and no more.
That one shot stopped the killing of the millions.
So let it be with John Jacob Jinglehammad-Smith.
Schulz!
Let us hear your denunciation of Fidel Papa del Cuba, murderer of 100,000.
[silence]
Schulz!
Let us hear your denunciation of Communst killers of 100,000,000.
Cat got your tongue?
Denial of human rights?
Tiananmen Square, Tibet, the Cuban people, the victims of Mugabe, the Pallie bomber-targeted civilians, the Falun Gong, Christians in Sudan, and so many more.
Schulz!
May your karma blow your brains onto the gas pump.
O the mourning. . . .
[silence]

I'm just pissed that the other bottom-feeder, Malvo, just got life imprisonment. However, Alabama still has a shot at both these bozos, and Alabama will have no qualms about frying both of them (or injecting them, whatever they do there nowadays).
To: chance33_98
Yeah right. All of John Allen Mohammed's victims, according to AI, deserved the death penalty. What a bunch of sweetheart humanitarians. Its too bad we can't execute the SOB from a 200 yards distance with a sniper shot - now THAT would be payback for the reign of terror he and associate Lee Malvo inflicted on the Washington D.C area back in 2002. And John F. Kerry agrees with the sensitive Eurotrash about how immoral capital punishment is in the States - or will he do another flip-flop in this case?? Stay tuned.
