Yeah, didn't you love the way Russert framed that question? You are a "moderate" republican, and if you want to get some clout with the "conservatives" in the party, you will need to take on Hilary in a senate race. If you do that, then maybe you could run for higher office. And Guiliani invoked Reagan in his response!
He was just great in this appearance from beginning to end.
And I'll repeat, Carville did more to help us than help Kerry on this MTP outing. I'll take it.

I'm watching Face the Nation. They were all coy about wanting to be Kerry's veep, and are spending the rest of the time bashing Bush.

Guiliani is spectacular. Absolutely fabulous. Agree!!!

Just love it when either Brit or Bill gangs up on Juan. This time it was Bill lecturing about how US tax breaks have made current economy fastest growing in the Western world. Juan saying they're greatest for the rich, etc. FNS going into a commercial break and they're still at it nonstop in background! LOL

I've pretty much had the news off for 3 weeks, with a few exceptions.
Maybe someone from the administration has pointed out on television that despite losing over 2 million jobs, we've also GAINED over 2 million jobs. I just haven't heard that reported.
When I tell people that in my community they tell me I'm wrong. We simply need to do a better job getting the word out.
This is an Investor's Business Daily article that debunks the Democrat's claims that we've only lost jobs (this link works). LOL

McCain is STILL an IDIOT. He just came out hesitating against the FMA.
Legislators are supposed to have some understanding of the law and the constitution. His calling this a "emotional" issue is total BS. This is a important issue about how we PROTECT and raise our children.
He demonstrates he can't step up to the plate and make the big decisions.

Just a note re. TV ads: This morning's 10:00 EST ABC Radio News had as its 2nd story the fact that "Not all 9/11 families oppose the president's ads..." and cited the pro-ad families "open letter to America."

I've pretty much had the news off for 3 weeks, with a few exceptions. Me, too. Watching the "news" has become physically painful.
I am, however, all over FR ;^D

Brit and Bill finally saying (and I must agree) that being on defensive in a campaign (as was Dukakis in '88 when he said he wouldn't give charges any credence) is no way to win when you have the wide array of Democratic operatives and the media against you.

You know...I've been in Iraq for a year now and getting news has been spotty at best. I rely on FR and some other websites for what I do know about what's happening in the U.S.
As far as politics go, it doesn't appear I've missed anything in the last year because it's ALL the same darn thing! Bash the POTUS...bad mouth the war...tax cuts for the rich...blah blah blah! I may have missed a lot of things over the last year...but listening to the daily drubbing of the Commander and Chief is something I have NOT missed in the least bit.

On Matthews the word is Max Cleland will take over as spokesman instead of McAuliff as Terry can't debate Gillespie.Terry remains the money man.
Cleland has a Vietnam record and loss of limbs, but he also has some voting record problems.

FR rips off the masks that hypocrits wear to hide what they really are. Keep freeping!

Cleland is also not a very well liked man. I worked for the Sate of GA when Cleland was Sec of Stae. I heard terrible stories about the man. His employees hated him. Sympathy for his injuries only go so far.

Is it me or do the dem guests seem glad that Martha was found guilty?? Some of us Republicans are happy also. Martha was guilty. All she had to do was admit to investigators early on that she had lied and she never would have been charged. Instead she stuck with the incredible story and believed that since she was Queen of Style or whatever, no one could touch her. She lied like Clinton and they both payed a price.
