Goodbye Stern, Hello Morality
Yahoo! News ^

Thank GOD! That guy was a pox on the moral nature of this country. He claims that religion is winning the war, and I pray to Jesus that is true.
God bless America and President Bush

No, it will be the underwriters of the show that finally pull the plug.Which is fine with me. Howard Stern stopped being funny when his wife left him.

you signed up to tell us this?Agreed. Zot the troll.
can't wait to see you squeal like a pig when President Hitlery moves to shutdown Rush and Hannity for espousing "hate speech".
- Hillary doesnt need precedent.
- The Fairness Doctrine is enough precedent.
- The 1st amendment is about political speech, not boobies. For evidence: All of a sudden Stern becomes a "dissenter".
But shutting down Stern would be a disaster. It's like closing down the local bordello. If you do it, where do the rest of the lowlifes go?

I'm right fond of this one.
3:14 On her return bearing gifts for the bride and groom, Mary asked of Jesus, "What did you do while I was gone?"
3:15 Jesus said, "I turned water into booze."
3:16 Mary wept. "Another wedding, another brawl. What's with you libertarians?"

Are you implying that anyone should be able to spew any amount of filth and vulgarity on the public airwaves ?
The culture of any nation DOES require some standards of decency.
Using your standard, anything is OK?

Thank you for not replying to your own drive-by thread, newbie. You stirred people up while not replying. Mission accomplished...

The culture of any nation DOES require some standards of decency. Using your standard, anything is OK?Nope. My standard is the government doesn't make that decision. Things like goodness and decency are changed at the level of an individuals heart and soul, not at the tip of a sword.
I seem to recall a man who was murdered by the government because certain people thought what he said was indecent, blasphemous and a threat to their way of life.

Hey, I never listen to Stern, so he doesn't effect me. Right?
WRONG - Your argument is exactly like that of the Libertarian who suggests his drug use doesn't effect anyone else. "Hey...if you don't want to use drugs, then don't use them." This is fallacious. Cocaine, Marijuana and Meth all leave a trail of blood behind them. For every 10 lines you snort there is a murder. By participating in drug market you enable violence, murder and the destruction of people (especially children) with a propensity toward drug addiction. It is the role of the government to create and enforce laws to prevent this kind of "personal choice" that destroys our social fabric. The same can be said for abortion. "If you don't believe in abortion, don't have one." Right? Abortion is fundementally immoral and breaks down our social values by blurring the line where "murder" becomes wrong.
Government has a duty to legislate and enforce morality or you end up like Holland. Do you think Holland is some sort of utopia? Then why don't you move there?

One titty at the right time and right place and look what happens. Guess we should all be thanking Janet and her imbecilic lewdness for giving this the big push it needed. Howard will find some other venue. I'm not going to shed any tears. I'm not going to panic about conservative talk radio either. It would be like trying to take away guns--there would be a war if it got to that point.

The idea of a troll is to get in on a discussion to disrupt it, to start fights on purpose and discuss nothing. Trolls usually post vanity articles on their signup day and refuse to respond. How can I explain the concept? It's juvenile and pathetic, indicative of a weak mind and diseased --
Ba Ba Booey!
Hee hee hee. I am sooooo funny!

See #28.

Boobie over the airwaves and we get them cleaned up. Homosexual nuptials and we may get a constitutional amendment. Hillary on the Kerry ticket and we get President Bush for 4 more years.
See what conservatives can do when they get a little shot in the pants.

Although many adolescent libertarins will come to this thread to say "change the channel", I agree with you. Many unsupervised children don't turn the channel. And there is no reason for any adult to be listening to the garbage Stern spews. The government is right to get rid of smut. I hope they continue.
To: wirestripper
There is no free speech on Jim's site. Just speech Jim permits.
Check the about page "allegiance" posted 5 vanities and responded to none of them. Zot, zot, zot.
To: ambrose
Oh...sorry...I thought this was a "conservative" news form. Maybe you support Bush's "triangulation" on immigration policy as well?
To: AmishDude
There is no way you can justify what you said, I ain't given you a pass.
It was too funny! Troll or not.
