Goodbye Stern, Hello Morality
Yahoo! News ^

Thank GOD! That guy was a pox on the moral nature of this country. He claims that religion is winning the war, and I pray to Jesus that is true.
God bless America and President Bush

For future reference, mindless content-free vanity posts are supposed to be listed in the Breaking News sidebar.
(I suppose this really needs a </sarcasm> tag.)

Good thing you didnt use your right not to listen. Your delight in having the government intervene on your behalf surely is inspiring. No need for personal responsibility when the Nanny State is at your service.

Well, his affiliate on 97.1 FM here in Los Angeles has been playing commercials appealing
for his listeners to raise a ruckus to fight censorship of Stern.
Sounds like Stern has found his audience isn't all that big/motivated.
Or, he's cut a deal to make more money on Sirius or XM radio or some other outlet.
Stern is a survivor; he'll be back.

I get it. But many on FR don't get it. They still believe that America can exist in all its glory and freedom without any moral or spiritual code to live by. This is one issue in which the liberals have succeded beyond there wildest dreams. And it is this liberal indoctrine that is embedded in more than a few so called conservatives. They can't get enough of the smut on the public radio for all the kiddies to listen to.

"can't wait to see you squeal like a pig when President Hitlery moves to shutdown Rush and Hannity for espousing "hate speech"."
That is exactly why we need to make sure the Rats don't get back into power. If you don't want that to happen then we need to be unafraid to use the power God has granted us.
The FEC and the FCC need to fine any network or local affiliate that show ANY MoveOn.org ads. The fines need to be severe, levied for every illegal showing of the ads and they need to continue until the criminal MoveOn.org is brought to heel.
Stern needs to be removed from the airwaves for obscenity and for his lying, slanderous attempted verbal assassination of GWB.
These people hate America and are attacking it. They have the same motives as the terrorists. Action is required in order to save America and our shared values. Or don't you believe so?

Can someone point me to the passage in the Bible that says the government should ban radio shows you don't like?

I cannot.... move... my finger.... The best lesson you can learn in life is: It isn't always about you.

Can you point to one that shows it shouldn't?

I don't like Howard Stern either. So I exercise my god given right to not listen to him.
Stop acting like some drone in the Matrix that needs all of his choices made for him. Pathetic.

Good thing you didnt use your right not to listen. Your delight in having the government intervene on your behalf surely is inspiring. No need for personal responsibility when the Nanny State is at your service.Three points:
First, private employers do not exert censorship, they exert judgement.
Second, the broadcast airways are currently publicly owned and thus subject to regulation by the public through their elected representatives.
Third, the first amendment does give Howard an inalienable right to somebody elses soapbox. He can put all the trash he wants on media that is not public.

I do not think the government will cause his demise.
They cannot seem to define indecency, and probably for good reason.
No, it will be the underwriters of the show that finally pull the plug.

Yadda, yadda, yadda.
The moral principle of the nation is much lower than formerly much less than vanity will allow Americans are too fond of attributing the great prosperity of the country to their own good government instead of seeing the source of it in the unbounded resources and favorable political opportunities of the nation. It is with sorrow that I anticipate the downfall of this republican government
