Remember, the red DUMP DAVIS bumper stickers that became so popular across California were started here on FR thanks to antaresequity.
Dave put up several hundred dollars of his own money to get them going. Eventually a big donor type at the CRP coughed up a whole bunch more to make something like 50,000 of them. In late 2002 you couldn't drive a freeway in the state without seeing several of them each day.
