Republican Congressman Jim Kolbe (Arizona) just announced that gay marriage (in opposition to the laws)is something whos "time is come" and compared the civil disobediance of gay couples getting married to the civil rights struggles of African-Americans. He went on to state that (paraphrase) 'gay marriage will be considered normal in a few years'. I heard it straight from his own lips at a meeting with him today.

Republican Congressman Kolbe - "Gay Marriage...its time has come" I admit I have never heard of this guy, but do you suppose he could be classified as a RINO?

This has NOTHING to do with civil rights.
Have gays been denied a seat at the counter in a diner? Have they been made to sit in the back of the bus?
The civil rights claim is just a way of positioning their argument to make it more palitable to the public.....and they ain't but'n it.

Delay should come down on this guy and crush him. Make his district pay for electing him.

Yes he is a RINO and reportedly gay himself - but he stated this a town hall meeting at my work today. I could not believe it - and it is a sad state of affairs.

The unpaid bills of our cultural dissolution continue to come due.
Happens to be a verse in the Bible that explains this whole scene:
Those who forsake the law praise the wicked,
But such as keep the law contend with them.
(Proverbs 28:4 NOTE: in this context "law" refers to the Word of God)

No, but they should be. The biggest thing gays have done for this country is introduce a horrible disease and cause social decay.

He's gay man..so what else do you want him to say?
Majority of gays want same-sex marriage to be legal these days.

I just got back from a trip to Arizona. It's a nice state and I'd really like to move their in the not so distant future. But what's up with its politics? It's not going the way of California is it?
To: sasafras
I think Kolbe's time has come to resign in favor of someone with respect for the law.

It judt doesn't seem like anyone is on the side of the American people anymore; but the American people. I just don't get why our so called elected will not do what the people want them to do. Are they so far above us?
