Bummer. This would have been so much fun. There has been rampant speculation since Kerry won big on Super Tuesday and secured the Democratic nomination that Hillary Clinton might be asked to be Kerry's running mate. After all, the Hildabeast is the most well-known Democrat nationally, and wants to be president herself. She can easily raise more money than Kerry would ever hope to by himself. Being on the Kerry ticket would be a win-win situation for Saint Hillary. If Kerry wins, she'll get her shot at the Oval Office in 2012. If Kerry loses, no problem, she can still follow her original plan to run in 2008.
The only problem? Speaking to Lou Dobbs last night on CNN, the junior Senator from New York responded to a direct question of "Do you want to be Vice President?" Her reply, with a chuckle: "No, I'm having a great time being Senator, and talking to you about.." blah blah blah. What she really means is she has no interest in being Vice President because she only wants to be President, and has no interest in such a job that would be beneath her. Besides, she really believes Kerry is going to lose anyway. At least that is the plan, so she can run in 2008.
All of that aside, there are reports that Hillary's people are telling Kerry she would like to be on the ticket and touting her fundraising abilities. Who knows what her real intentions are. She did endorse Kerry, though, saying "This is going to be a year, I believe, for Senator Kerry who will be our nominee and I will do everything I can to get him elected." Would that include joining the ticket?
God save the Republic.

Why do these reporters and pundits and commentators persist in editing Hillary's quotes?
Edited: "This is going to be a year, I believe, for Senator Kerry who will be our nominee and I will do everything I can to get him elected."
Unedited: "Uh, you know, this uh is going uh you know to be uh a year uh you know, I believe, uh I mean uh for Senator Kerry uh you know who will uh be our uh you know nominee uh and uh I will uh you know do everything uh I can uh you know to get him elected I mean."

Many here will shed an ocean of tears. That is until they start predicting she will be the nominee for pres..

There was no way Shrillary or Willy was going to be V.P. candidate. Not becuase they don't care for the job, but for a more pragmatic reason: Self-preservation. Would you want either of these back-stabbing egotists standing behind you?

"The Hildabeast says "no" to joining the Kerry Ticket"
"No" is "On" spelled backwards. In Clintonspeak that means she'll be "on" the ticket. See how easy that was to decipher.

Hillary doesn't want to be VP. Why?
1. She's sees a probable loss on the part of Kerry, and doesn't want to be a part of it. (That probably means she sees the chance of a "big" loss.) Running as the VP candidate does get you a look the next time around, but look what happened to Joe Liebermann, Geraldine Ferrarro. They were smeared by association with losers.
2. She actually wants to be Senate Leader for the remainder of her career. If so, then look for dirty tricks against Tom Daschle in S. Dakota. It is a very powerful position, and she's elected from a very powerful state. Why risk all that on the presidency when her negatives are so high?
3. She does want to run, but wants to wait for 2008 and be the lead of the ticket from beginning to end.

It's a no-lose proposition for her. If she's the V.P. candidate and Kerry loses, she can blame him, and she's still free to run as President in 2008, and has gained more national exposure. If Kerry wins, she'll be the Democratic heir in the future.
If she's making statements about being happy where she is now, it would most likely be due to Kerry not responding favorably to her inclusion on the ticket.

Hitlery Trailer Trash Klinton will take the number 2 spot as she'll see it as a great opportunity to lurch, or slouch, into the number 1 spot quicker than one can say Vince Foster.
Many simpletons who think they're liberal are bound to wake up as the liberal garbage that clogs our nation countinues spewing out. They'll realize that the Democrat Party is the Homosexual and Evil Party. Unfortunately many others will realize that the Republican Party contains so many wimpish traitors that a thorough housecleaning is needed desperately.
When all this realization on the part of American voters takes place it would then be, if she doesn't act now, curtains for la Hitlery. She knows this. With her satan given talents and insights she'll know it's green light time!

"Hitlery would never play second fiddle to a flaky fop at the top of the ticket.
No, this liberated womyn has ambitions! By golly, someday she will rule the WORLD! MWAHAHAHAHA!!!"
Interesting point.
I see hillry a little different.
Hillry already ran for and was elected two times, but she had to share that power. She had to endure the embarrassment of her low life hubby's sex addiction in full public view. Rather than give up her share of power and things like "spousal" legal protection she did her part keeping the naked one in office.
Hillry is owed, and that means that office of the "world" ruler is hers by "right", "you know" like sodomy got a civil right.
Hillry will use whatever means possible to regain that power, only this time she does not plan to share. She is the "high priestess" of that religion of politics, she is "god".
Whether hillry's plots, plans, and conspiracies get fulfilled remains to be seen. Hillry has divined herself to that position of power.

"Do you want to be Vice President?"
She doesn't "want" to be vice president, but that hardly means she "wouldn't" accept the nomination if her partied begged her.
Tyrrel was on Fox this morning, discussing the les behind her cackles.

The question (Do you want to be Vice President?) wasn't even phrased correctly. It's open ended and it's easy to answer NO to that, but that doesn't mean she won't take the VP spot.
Why does that not surprise me coming from a CNNer?

That's actually an interesting theory, since she has no
leadership on her resume.
The best way to take over tommie's position would be to rig
his defeat in November. However, I don't think tommie is
very defeatable, since he knows how to manufacture
additional votes in a few dozen precincts after the polls
have closed.

Funny... haven't heard the impeached/rapists endorsement of Kerry yet. Did I miss it?

1. SHE could catch him and turn him in, then she'd be a "savior" and "very honest" wouldn't she, doing that to her own party?
2. SHE could tip off the opponent anonymously as to how the vote manufacturing is being done.
3. She could have her own denizens in the area who she might ask to have it be "inadequate" numbers to keep Daschle in power. (Subvert Daschle's vote manufacturing from within.)
