This is the best they got?
Kerry
It's Vietnam all over again, A quagmire I tell you a quagmire! My vote for the war was so you couldn't go to war! How dare you go to the UN with promises instead of empty rhetoric! Brent Scowcroft and Jim Baker promised me (or someone I know) that you were only kidding! You misled us by telling us what you were going to do, and had the balls to actually do it!! No politician does that you liar!!
W, I went to Vietnam, I served in Vietnam, We lost in Vietnam, and Mr. Bush, this is almost, sort of like Vietnam (but without the VC springing up in the rice paddies wiping out whole companies, thousands dead every week, no plan for victory, the Tet offensive or the POW's in Hanoi...uhm yea).
Your new ads show images of 9/11. You can't use that! Your politicizing the war!!
Pharmer
In the words of Shakespeare: "methinks thou dost protest to much!".
Bush's ads are a homerun! Keep it up W! Don't let the media get the upper hand. You have so much ammo this time. Keep the powder dry but hit them where it hurts every time!

Contact your friends in the media. Have them air the Clinturd OKC scenes.
Clinturd was so over the top blaming Republicans for OKC there has got to be some choice stuff in the can somewhere,
Send those emails now. Get the OKC bombing mourn fest out in public. Show the hypocrites in broad daylight.

Thanks for the links! Kerry is a real head case. I wonder if he's sufficiently narcissistic, ala The 'Toon, to get elected? I don't think he is.

DeBug, thank you for the very useful information you posted about Peaceful Tomorrows and Tides Center, and for pinging me to it.
BlueAngel, Wally, Boxsfor, and Gkubly, thank you for your kind comments about my Post #42.
Apparently even a reliable Leftist like Katie Couric was at least a little uncomfortable with the assault on the President's right to refer to 9/11 in his ads. This morning, although she had on two of the family members who are Dem shills, she also had on one who supports President Bush's right to refer to 9/11.
I suspect this little cooked-up drama is backfiring on the Dems. They've already switched the message from, "It's distasteful to use the image," to "Well, he shouldn't use it because he didn't cooperate with the commission," to "If he wanted to use an image, he should show a picture of him reading to school kids. That's where he was on 9/11."
When they have to scrape the bottom of the barrel with that last whine, you know they're losing on this particular issue. Except for those who were unfortunate enough to be on one of the airplanes, in the twin towers, or at the Pentagon, WE WERE ALL SOMEPLACE OTHER THAN ground zero on September 11, 2001.
I wonder just how long some of these "family members" (how do I know they're real) were waiting in the wings practicing their whine on behalf of the Dem attack machine.

Reminds me of the old adage "if you throw a rock into a pack of dogs, the one that yelped is the one you hit".
To: Pharmer
Yep. The Democrats are squealing like stuck pigs. The last thing they want in this campaign is to have the American people be reminded we are in fact still at war and that they have no ideas, in fact no policy, for how to deal with terrorism and weapons of mass destruction. The Left is running scared. If they don't like this commercial, wait til they see what's coming. This was just a softball move.

Why is it whenever John Kerry talks about serving in Vietnam he reminds me of those guys who sit on the corner and yell that they served in Vietnam and fought for us, so we owe them the money out of our pockets?
To: ohioWfan
I think we should hit a bigger nerve and show THIS event in the ads..........hehe...... Seems like Kerry has opened the door for that. He showed the aircraft carrier with the 'mission accomplished' banner on his latest commercial.

It is the over-reaction of the Dems and the liberal media protesting that has really brought the issue of terrorism and national security and Bush to the forefront of the political debate. EXACTLY where it should be. Sort of like (I hope) the fruits of liberal ranting about The Passion of the Christ!

Near as I can remember, this is the first time a president's political opponents want to avoid a discussion of his bona fide record. Just elemental fairness -- they don't want Kerry's record discussed either! ;-)
