The President is and will be on the road for the next six days. Right now he's on West Coast time, which would make the Dose quite late for Easterners, so I'm posting what's out there, with the expectation that there might be more photos tonight.
President Bush is in Los Angeles today, and will travel in California and then Texas to do some fundraising and receive President Fox of Mexico at The Ranch.
Vice President Cheney reiterated to the press his acceptance as running mate with George Bush for this year's election. It seems he has to keep repeating this because the media doesn't like the answer they're hearing.
Enjoy today's Dose of W, and welcome to Sanity Island.

You're absolutely right about THAT Pat.
And the smile will be bigger when he's on his way OUT of Marine 1 in a few days....

I think their mail is flown into Baghdad...and probably convoyed to Eric's base.....if he's pulling out in a few days, I don't think they will forward them to Kuwait...he may miss them altogether.....when mailing anything over there, print the city they are in on the package...I print BALAD on the top of the box with a black felt pin...it's easier to sort.

They will probably not forward to Kuwait, packages take from 15-20 days, we are getting mail for people in our Blackhawk Bn, forwared from Ft. Knox. My guess is Eric's unit will want there mail forwarded to an address at Ft. Campbell, it will be very hard to trace down the Mail in Kuwait.

Thanks!! I printed out order form, will check the pages, and write up my order! I have to get a few of some, as my Mom (3DJOY) is in the "Political crowd", and she can hand some out!

Our university isn't as active with the other colleges since we're much futher away, so I'm hoping that getting representation from our campus will help to unite the three state colleges. You might want to contact Mike Adams. He writes a column for Townhall.com and is a WONDERFUL person who is helping college Republicans. He's a former Atheist Democrat turned Christian, Conservative, Republican. He's young, a professor at UNC-Wilmington in NC and he's helping college Republicans make a difference and helping them to be able to discuss their faith on campus, like all the evil groups get to do.
Here in NC, they want to allow anything and everything on campus and the school supports it, but not if you're Republican or Christian. He's fighting hard to make a difference for us.
I met him at a function I attended and he was the guest speaker. You are in for a TREAT, if you can get him to come to your school. He didn't have a business card (had given out) with him at the time I met him, but I'm sure you can contact him via Townhall.com. His speaking isn't restricted to NC.

Thanks for the picture, GretchenEE. My first thought when looking at the President getting on Marine 1 is there is an empty place where Spot used to be. I miss her, and I'm sure the First Couple do too.

I thought they sorted the mail in Kuwait, and then forwarded to the appropriate base in Iraq.
Still, there's a lot of stuff caught in the pipeline now, and Heaven only knows where it'll end up. It's been seven weeks since the boxes were mailed to Eric.

Hey az........I'm going to bed now, but I'll check in the morning to see if the picture I posted is the one you're talking about.
G'nite!

Mike, I wondered what you meant by weapon is required in the mess hall?
My ggg grandfather was killed in the mess hall during the civil war. The idea that people have to have their weapon there gives me goosebumps and not a good kind.

It is somewhat confusing. Hopefully, whatever post office services Eric's Unit will have been given forwarding instructions by his unit. I think he will eventually get anything that's out there.
By the way, thanks again for the packages.

I think it would be helpful to the Dosers if you could detail what items are most appreciated and what items don't have many fans.
To: MS.BEHAVIN
If you could throw in some crab legs, I might come crash the party!
Hope Mr B has a great birthday.

Yes, you cannot get in the mess hall without a weapon, They are checked on entry, to be sure they are on safe and the magazine is removed.
