I just heard the air go out of a out of a lot of balloons here. Lots of people, posters, pundits were predicting she would jump into the race.

Beware the heartbreak of "premature punditry" (you should have received LOTS of email on that). There is still plenty of time for the Clintonistas to derail Kerry's apparent but not yet granted nomination. I still hold that Hillary's plan is to avoid the exposure of a long campaign, let Bush spend his money against Kerry and pick up the pieces at the convention after a Kerry meltdown. This endorsement is simply to earn points for being a good RAT player.

Endorsing the only candidate left standing is really going out on a limb.

Hopefully an endorsment from the beast is the kiss of death for this commie traitor. A clinton endorsment is a sure fire way to loose: example, Gray Davis.

That is what I've been trying to figure out. I'm not politically savvy on the way elections, primaries , nominees and delegates work, but can she still wind up being nominated in the end? What if no delegates want Kerry later on. (After she ruins him) Can they decide to put her in at the last minute? How does this all work? I just don't think she'll take this lightly. I think she wants to be President next time around no matter what it takes.

Very true. Not until they are 6 feet under will they be finished twisting things around. The Klintoons have a shark-like preference for bleeding victims. Perhaps Bush will (gag) help them out, and bring Kerry down a couple of notches. Then the Klintoons can extort another pound of flesh.

My understanding is that the delegates nominated to support Kerry are expected (required?) to do so, on the first ballot. If that ballot is not decisive, then it's an "Open Convention" - all bets (commitments) off.

So Kerry needs to go in with either 50% of the delegates, or at least with no one else strong enough to overtake him in an open convention.

He's close enough now - I think it's a done deal that he will be the Democrat nominee for President.

You can see the schedule of upcoming primaries at: Ron Gunzburger's Politics1.com. There are many states left - a couple of big ones, or a few small ones and Kerry is over the top.

I'd guess that the next opportunity for the Klintoons to have leverage over Kerry will be something closer to behind the scenes blackmail. Once Bush has cut Kerry down to size, then he will be more vulnerable to the Klintoons threatening to expose some ugliness from his past.

I doubt that Hitlary will be on the ticket this year. Rather she will spend her Kapital ensuring she has control of the party, and especially of the money.

"...those that will like to speculate about her being the Running Mate on the Kerry ticket. (I'll be among those ;-)."

Not a chance, unless jfk is the dumbest candidate to come down the pike in ages. She would add nothing good to the ticket & would divert attention from the "message". Of course there are many among us that have "wet" dreams of her being on the ticket - just so they can continue spouting off about her.

Could this endorsement be a kiss of death for Kerry?

I was thinking the same thing this morning. 8 months of sKerry Bush bashing and shrieking. It’ll be like the worst (un)reality show ever and I think most people will either get sick of it or bored with it before too long.

Bush should hold his fire – maybe a few warning shots here and there – until Hillary is either locked in or locked out and then unleash the mother of all campaigns against whoever the nominee is and wipe out the libs and their biased media forever.

Now is the time that Kerry should let someone else start his car; taste his food; etc. :)

He just lost the election. Only the fringe far left approves of the Clintons. They chase the normal citizens away.

Senator Hillary Clinton (search) gave Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry (search) her endorsement Tuesday, as the Massachusetts senator rode his way to a sweeping victory in several Democratic primaries.

"If I were to be cheated on by any person other than my husband, it would be John Kerry."
