I don't believe most of the reports from foreign newspapers, but this story here has credibility. Something is definitely going on here. This report has the same feel as when we were getting close to Saddam. I'll bet our satellite boys are working overtime right now.

We all become conditioned to expect electronic intercepts, but it is possible that one or more couriers have been apprehended. If a courier or two has been intercepted, that could provide even more valuable information and lend greater confidence in bin Laden's capture as has been seen in the last week or two by US officials.

I have been one to think UBL has been dead for a long time. But I have always put the "*" on that (because, obviously there has always been the chance that he is alive). And regardless his #2 and Omar are definitely alive and our Special Op's guys have been trying to hunt them down for 3 years now.

With that said, I'm not sure what to make of all this new "chatter" or if we should make anything of it at all. In fact, is it really all that "new"?

In that, I have seen comments from "sources" that we are about to get UBL for 2 years now. I will admit....the comments made by Mr. Cofer Black and those made by some in the military about being 100% sure we are going to "get UBL this year"....has raised my interest.

However, if we are close to getting UBL.....why all the "leaks"? that doesn't seem to make much sense....Unless, we are trying to flush him out and are using the "media" to spread the word that we are "close"....but if that is the case....then we really aren't that "close" to begin with.

I do find all of this very interesting.

I've been in the Don't-count-your-chickens camp for a long time, and I've kind of thought that all this recent chatter was just our boys shaking the tree. But I gotta admit, this is starting to sound interesting. If it were all just hot air, W. would have told his people to put a sock in it by now.

I think OBL will probably martyr himself, and his henchmen will do everything they can to prevent his DNA falling into our hands. Better to have his Holy Name live on as a mystery than have his remains floating in a jar of formaldehyde in an FBI lab.

I will say, I am not in the camp that UBL will martyr himself....nah, he is a coward...he will try and save his sorry butt until that last possible moment...That being until one of our boys puts a double tap of 3-round bursts into his chest and head...

If he's still alive he has a choice. Video of him dead and naked on a table like Saddam's sons, or video of a lice search like Saddam. Either way would suck for a guy that hates us so. Too bad Afghanistan doesn't have volcanos, he could throw himself in one and save his dignity. :^)
