I have been one to think UBL has been dead for a long time. But I have always put the "*" on that (because, obviously there has always been the chance that he is alive). And regardless his #2 and Omar are definitely alive and our Special Op's guys have been trying to hunt them down for 3 years now.

With that said, I'm not sure what to make of all this new "chatter" or if we should make anything of it at all. In fact, is it really all that "new"?

In that, I have seen comments from "sources" that we are about to get UBL for 2 years now. I will admit....the comments made by Mr. Cofer Black and those made by some in the military about being 100% sure we are going to "get UBL this year"....has raised my interest.

However, if we are close to getting UBL.....why all the "leaks"? that doesn't seem to make much sense....Unless, we are trying to flush him out and are using the "media" to spread the word that we are "close"....but if that is the case....then we really aren't that "close" to begin with.

I do find all of this very interesting.

They may have his locale fixed to a few dozen grid sqauares, but in an area that's almost impossible to penetrate with govt troops, with 100% certaintly of a snatch. So yes, this is probably meant to make OBL bolt, and run into a checkpoint, or into a sniper's view.

To suppress and forestall enemy (Islamist/Democrat) propaganda. I.e. that it was a "fluke," we just got lucky; we've had him for months; the Kurds captured him, drugged him and put him in a hole; etc, etc, etc...
