Many of these amendments are clearly unrelated to the bill topic. Some are "poison pills" intended to derail the bill. Others attempt to make current or former L.E. officers into a new privileged class, with special rights that are not available to the general public!
I will comment on these at greater length tomorrow.
It is my hope that this post may put some of the wild speculation and finger pointing to rest. Here is the opportunity to see WHO has introduced WHAT.
It appears that the REAL vote will take place on Tuesday, but could come as early as Monday.
My greatest fear at this point is that we could see a replay of what happened with MV-86, where the feculent 922.(o) amendment was added and "passed"* by voice vote. I think that is the anti's fond hope.
I would ask everyone to call their senator again, Demand that the bill be passed without ANY amendments, AND that ALL votes must be RECORDED, NO voice votes!
It IS an election year, the senators must be prevented from hiding their voting record from their constituents. Dirty deeds are easier to do in the dark, please insist that the vote be done in the light!
* It is still debated that the 922.(o) amendment actually failed, and that a roll call vote was prevented so that the truth of it's failure could be suppressed, allowing the anti's to fraudulently pass it into law.
