Specially filtered lighting gives Lenin's face a warm glow. Botox, collagen and modern cosmetics aren't used Kerry should try filtered lighting

I saw a photo of Edwards and Kerry posted here last night and they both looked embalmed. Lemme see if I can find it.

Looks like Stan Laurel (no offense to the late-great comedy genius!).

Heck, Boris Yeltsin is well pickled too and will be preserved for years without much intervention required.

Communism as secular religion, including even a pilgrimage to see the relic remains of the saints.

Interesting story.
To me, the best use of him now would be as a fund-raising tourist attraction. Charge everyone 10 bucks to go see him, 20 if you want your picture taken with him.
Billy Crystal did a funny comedy special in Russia, and one of the US-filmed sidebar skits was about an American consultant planning "Lenin-Land" as a tourist attraction.
I'd like to go see him before they get rid of him.

Lenin's tomb and its body-under-glass - the Russian equivalent of the Statue of Liberty If you want to hurt America, blow up the Statue of Liberty. If you want to hurt Russia, blow up the dead body of it's Totalitarian Dictator.
I guess it's just one of those little differences that make the world more a interesting place.

But the communist propaganda machine already had begun turning out heroic posters, worshipful biographies and everything from massive statues to miniature busts. And, of course, fawning articles about "the great man's genius".
This man and his philosophies were arguably responsible for more human suffering and misery than anyone in modern history. Bury him.

I saw him in 1997 -- no one said, "don't he look na'trul!" Of course, I don't know the Russian words for that.
He looked pretty bad, I thought.
The guards watched us closely to make sure we took no pictures, and there was no talking. Really wierd.

Ted Kennedy is rather portly and buffoonish...but then again, that would be an insult to Oliver Hardy!
