Lottery-Like Awards Crush Fathers, Make Mothers Rich
Child Support Queens Praise Michigan's Mike Cox
February 24, 2004
By MND NEWSWIRE
The largest child-support organization in the nation announced today that Michigan Attorney General Mike will receive its Golden Hearts Award.
The Association for Children for Enforcement of Support (ACES), a non- profit, child-advocacy organization with 50,000 members and 400 chapters in 48 states, recognized Cox for focusing attention on the $7 billion owed to Michigan children in unpaid child support. Past award recipients include New York Gov. George Pataki and U.S. Sen. Olympia Snowe of Maine.
"This award is a tribute to all the parents, government officials, community leaders, and ordinary citizens who have helped me bring attention to the epidemic of unpaid child support," stated Cox. "I am honored and privileged that the people of Michigan allow my office to attempt to help the 650,000 children get the child support they deserve."
ACES recognizes only four recipients annually for their leadership in helping children recover the amount owed to them in child support. ACES will make a formal presentation of the award to Cox in the next few weeks. "I worked with local bureaucracy for 16 years for support for my son and got very little, maybe $8,000," said a mother(1) who recently got resolution of her case. "Thanks to Mike Cox, in a month, I had a check for $120,000 and another for $225,000. It was like a fairytale."
Geraldine Jensen of ACES, who is well known for her obsessive efforts to misinform the public about child support issues (see: Associated Press: A Case Study in Dishonesty) is presenting an award to Michigan Attorney General Mike Cox (see: Michigan AG Linked to Organized Crime and Child Support Propaganda Haunts Michigan Papers). According to Jensen, Cox was chosen because of his establishment of a first-of-its kind program that prosecutes child support as a felony. Since establishing the child support division, Cox's office has collected more than $2 million, issued a total of 234 warrants and made 132 arrests. Cox focuses on those who can pay, but refuse to pay -- including heavyweight boxer James Toney, former NFL Detroit Lion and pro-bowler Bennie Blades, and several other Michigan professionals.
"Attorney General Mike Cox is a leader in the nation among attorneys general, tracking down law breakers who have abandoned their children," Jensen said. "He's taking some of the first real action across the country, treating non-support as a serious crime, a crime that causes poverty amongst children. It is particularly helpful to families. We think it's a really wonderful approach."
ACES also cited Cox's Paykids initiative as reason for honoring the attorney general.
Paykids is a public awareness program Cox established last October that features an interactive website to assist parents in recovering child support owed to their children; 39 billboards placed across Michigan to raise awareness on this issue; and a toll-free number for parents to communicate directly with the Attorney General's Child Support Division.

The Child Support System belongs to Satan, and it's goal
is to destroy fathers, childrens, and families.
The 666 laws is responsible for destroying more men than all the wars put together....
Many people will never the truth about child support and how it destroys and lies and steals the money.
God will punish this country soon...

Actually, unlike libs that love abortion. (kill the kids BEFORE they are born) Most men love their children when they are born. But for what ever reason the marrigae does not work (unwed is yet another issue) SOME men feel that Divorce means that all resposibility for the children ends. Stangely enough they never understand that children of divorce look to the Child support payments as a sign that the absent parent still loves them. I often wonder when money is tight, and the Parent has to tell the child I'm sorry we can't afford this or that, or mac and cheeze is the meal s for a week, the absent parent wonders why the child doesn't care about them. It's called what goes around comes around. But then if the parent doesn't care whether their child grows up secure and happy, don't pay the support. and GO TO JAIL.

That's the value put on a lot of children today: how much money each per month the lazy mother can get for them. That is what these children hear from month to month: whether or not the father paid the designated amount, whether or not the mean government gave more money or benefits for them through the welfare check. And we wonder about the emptiness of our children's souls, when their mothers' have already put dollar values on them. God bless the children.

How sad for you. That you equate a Father's duty to his child as somehow reflecting a LAZY Mother. Working full time, raising children ALONE, and trying to help them grow into productive adults is sure LAZY. But the LAZY Father can't even share a little of his income to help. I guess getting state supported shild care for working Mothers is a better way to care for your child, huh. That's it, teach them that the STATE takes place of the Father. Like it or not, when the Father was in the home, the child felt secure in the support provided by his income. How do you answer your child when he says daddy I need school clothes, if you would pay MY child support I could get them?
Your answer is tell your LAZY Mother to get them.

Not sad for me at all. Very sad for the children. Dragged around by lazy women looking for a greener pasture with more money and hotter sex. The children with price tags on their heads. The children are taught by these mothers that their value is money. God bless the children.

When you pay $1600.00 child support per month for 2 children to a Mother who is already making $45,000 per year,
and the kids have to ask Dad for decent clothes,
HOW DO YOU ANSWER THEM?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The bimbo who was waxing so enthusiastic about her fat checks collected $1800 per month on top of whatever else she received. She'll undoubtedly spend that $345,000 on her son, for sure.
Fathers have an obligation to support their children, without a doubt. But our current feminized "woman takes all" system is grievously unfair.

The system is set up in such a way that it's a huge money machine for all the bottom-feeders who populate the CS/Divorce industry. Judges, lawyers, CSEA hacks get kick-backs from the State/Fed gov for each dollar of support they collect.
It's not "about the children". Never has been, never will be.

The amounts awarded for child support usually far exceed the costs of caring for the child. That "over and above" money is the problem. It rewards women in a totally unfair way. The extra dough isn't spent on the kid. It's spent on the woman.

HOW DO YOU ANSWER THEM?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The tempting thing is to shoot the mother, but that, or bad mouthing her, won't do you or the kids any good.
Buy 'em the clothes, and continue to pay. And continue to look forward to the day when you can tell her what you think of her.

EXACTLY.
I don't have a problem with paying, they are my children and I love them dearly. Never even been late in 5 yrs.
I have NO sympathy for Dads that are able to pay and don't.
But I have one HELL of a problem with NO ACCOUNTABILITY for what I provide for the kids through child support.
When they have to come to me and ask for a warm coat and shoes that don't rub blisters on their feet, I just feel sick.

You get a new job with a new social security number and different name. When the state takes custody of the kids away from you, your actual responsibilities are ended.

Then you need to be in court. Do you have shared custody? You should. Especially if you are a resposible Father paying THAT kind of CS. When I was raising my 3 children. Their Dad only had to pay three hundred a month (100,000 per year). My Mother moved in with me so I wouldn't have to send them to daycare. He still wouldn't pay. Finally aces came into effect. My girls were already grown, but all that back child support paid for my Son's college. He is now going for a PHD. Pyschology with specialization in Abnormal behavour in Children.
