DISH network does the same. I'd rather pay ala carte for the 12 channels or so that I like. Unfortunately we have to pay to support the crappy channels.

You can either do that or simply get a satellite dish from Direct TV or the Dish Network, both of which offer Fox News.

Dish Network, I guess you don't have many trees in your yard.

Dish Network charges more for FOX, and people still pay for it. It's the ONLY reason I subscribe to the top 100 instead of the top 50 package.

That would be FreeRepublic, though FreeRepublio does have a nice ring to it.

Better yet, let DirecTV know how you feel about cable :)

I would seriously encourage you to check into satelite. Whether you go DishNetwork, or someone else; I think you'll find it hard to go back to cable.
For example, the picture is PERFECT (no ghosts - ever). The number of channels you'll get is truly a bargain, plus you can also get your local stations as well.
Rates are competitive. You can buy the units at WalMart, and have yourself set up in just a few hours; or you can order it online and have a professional install it for free.
I'm cable-free and have been for 7 years. Ain't no way I'm going back. I have cable in my house for my PC, and that is it.

Dish Network, I guess you don't have many trees in your yard. Actually, DirecTV for me, and I just got the dish high enough to go over the trees. I do know it's a problem for the higher latitudes, but we discussing Montgomery County, MD, here and that is where I live.

the poster signed up today, and is trying to slam a legitimate business. Sure, lots of people post identical kinds of articles, but on their first day? There has been a lot of zot stuff around lately. could this be more?
Has the poster responded to anything? Is it true about Conmcast? I don't have the answer, so i posed my question as to zot-worthiness.
You are right, newbies should not be indiscriminately zotted, and that isn't my intention.

I dropped Comcast in favor of DirecTv.
Free installation, set-up, and I get hundreds of digital quality channels for the same price as cable; and I get FoxNews and FoxSportsWorld.

I forgot what I wanted to say when I got up to adjust the rabbit ears on my TV again.
