Is Kerry man of conscience or Guilty Conscience

Come on Folks, why can't we question Kerry's military record? I have questions regarding Kerry's medals & wonder if Kerry's opposition to the Vietnam War was a matter of "Guilty Conscience" rather than conscience as he claims. A look at his record would suggest that he could have committed war crimes. According to his own account while in command of Swift Boat 44, Kerry's body count included-- a woman, her baby, a 12 year-old boy, an elderly man and several South Vietnamese soldiers. Kerry was said to have been given a Silver Star for administering a "coup de grace" to a wounded Viet Cong and returning with a B-40 rocket and launcher. This is the type of thing Kerry described as murder during his Hanoi John days. Some of us are are aware of after action reports and the Navy's 3 Strike Rule (3 Purple Hearts.=pass home) which Kerry took at his own option. Call me skeptical but some things do not add up for this old grunt. Three Purple Hearts & 2 days light duty.....hmmmmm band aid type Purple Hearts. Our Doc wouldn't waste his time doing the paperwork nor would we expect him to. Every scratch doesn't rate a Purple Heart unless you're a sea lawyer bucking for them. Would a real War Hero and a member of the Band of Brothers as he now calls Vets opt out & leave his command after only 4 months? He looks good on paper. What is the reality? Let's see the records. All glitters is not gold, somethings are bright yellow. The media is quick to label some people 'A Real War Hero." Today John Kerry is their Real War Hero. In recent past they have proclaimed John McCain, George H. W. Bush, and Max Cleland as War Heroes. To their credit, John McCain & GHW Bush are quick to disclaim any hero status while Cleland is quick to wave his Hero Banner & tell us about war. McCain & Bush, both pilots, were shot down by enemy fire during combat missions. Cleland actually blew himself up when a grenade he was carrying came loose & exploded as he exited a chopper. I've not been able to find out why Cleland was given medals. Seems he had politcal pull. Politics & who you know unfortunately can account for many medals being given out. Doctoring of after action reports is kind of a known during Vietnam. Not many people start out to reach hero status. Most that do quickly lose that ambition after indoctrination into that world of death & mayhem. Real heroes are victims of circumstance and are humble about their experience. You don't see them waving medals & bragging about their exploits. Kerry has made his service record a political issue. I wonder why the media don't request a look at Kerry's record & the after action reports about his medals. A look at the who what and where would be interesting. Witnesses aren't falling out of the wood work to proclaim Kerry's hero status. I'm reminded of the McGovern & Dole Presidential Campaigns. Heroes like that you just gotta admire. Quite a contrast in them & Kerry.

Exactly! My father-in-law who was a member of the 4th Infantry Division in WWII marched from Normandy to Berlin. Along the way, he was bayoneted and chose not to let anyone know so he could stay with his regiment. He thought staying with his "band of brothers" more important than medals or ribbons or getting out of his duty.

Kerry slanders every soldier who served their country honorably every time he trots out his "honorable" service with his three purple hearts.
