ABU DHABI [MENL] -- Saudi Arabia has launched a major military exercise.

The Saudi Defense Ministry said the exercise began on Saturday in northwestern region near the Israeli and Jordanian borders. The ministry said the exercise would last five days and include live ammunition fire.

The exercise was deemed as under the responsibility of the Northwestern Regional Command. A military statement said the exercise would include a series of maneuvers.

The military plans at least another exercise over the next few weeks. The Saudi ministry said the Royal Saudi Navy would launch a live fire exercise in the Red Sea in March.

I had a great dream where Iran tried to nuke Israel and the superior Jewish technology enabled them to redirect the missiles to strike Saudi's right in the M&M's (Mecca and Medina)!

Unfortunately just a dream.

This is the area where the true Mount of God, Horeb or Sinai, is located.

Called by the Arabs Jabal al-Lawz.

The Saudis are also telling the bogus story that they are running out of oil. I suspect the jihadists will soon do something that will lead to their swift demise.

Do they think the Royal Saudi Army will impress anyone (and much less the Israeli army !) with that saberrattling ? As we say in France, it would be the clay pot fighting against the iron pot.

I have a great dream that the Irani youth realise that just voting 'reformist' clerics won't work and they all throw off the yoke of slam and become Zoroasttrians orChristians. Then they rebuild the Persian Empire as a Zoroastrian/Christina Empire re-conqueringPakistan, Afgh, Central Asia, Irq, Syria, Jordan, Kuwait and Kurdisatn.

Yes, the Arabs have feared the Persians and Assyrians for 3000 years

This time, they didn't vote for reformists. The reformists boycotted the election (hence the 10-point fall in voting numbers)and so the guys who got elected are hardcore Khomeynists.

And I'm not sure Jordan, Syria, Kuwait, etc, will gladly let themselves be conquered. Do you think the Western countries would let another country annex Kuwait like in 1990 ?

hi. Well, it was a dream!
in this dream scenario, the youngsters (60% of the population) would decide to really revolt agains theIslamic revolution in the best way -- convert to the preIslamic religion in Persia -- Zoroastrianism.

Jordan, Syria, etc. won't let themselves be conquered easily, but then in 600 B.C. they weren't too keen on that either, and the Persians did just that, conquering Egypt too.

Western Countries wouldn't like it. Again, it is a dream scenario! But, if a non-Islmaic power, especially made up of ex-Mo followers came to power in Persia, they would be fired up to save the rest of the slamic world -- and to stop them would be short sighted, like the real world case when France and England supported Turkey against Russia. If they hadn't, then turkei would have been driven out of Europe, GReece and the Eastern European states would have been even more freer, the Albanians and Bosnians would have been converted back and one variable of the equation in the Balkans would have been eliminated. Istanbul would be renamed Constantinople and the Hagia Sophia would have been reconsecrated.

Only after the 16th or 17th nuking, and then after several weeks of deliberation.
