This time, they didn't vote for reformists. The reformists boycotted the election (hence the 10-point fall in voting numbers)and so the guys who got elected are hardcore Khomeynists.

And I'm not sure Jordan, Syria, Kuwait, etc, will gladly let themselves be conquered. Do you think the Western countries would let another country annex Kuwait like in 1990 ?

hi. Well, it was a dream!
in this dream scenario, the youngsters (60% of the population) would decide to really revolt agains theIslamic revolution in the best way -- convert to the preIslamic religion in Persia -- Zoroastrianism.

Jordan, Syria, etc. won't let themselves be conquered easily, but then in 600 B.C. they weren't too keen on that either, and the Persians did just that, conquering Egypt too.

Western Countries wouldn't like it. Again, it is a dream scenario! But, if a non-Islmaic power, especially made up of ex-Mo followers came to power in Persia, they would be fired up to save the rest of the slamic world -- and to stop them would be short sighted, like the real world case when France and England supported Turkey against Russia. If they hadn't, then turkei would have been driven out of Europe, GReece and the Eastern European states would have been even more freer, the Albanians and Bosnians would have been converted back and one variable of the equation in the Balkans would have been eliminated. Istanbul would be renamed Constantinople and the Hagia Sophia would have been reconsecrated.
