[history]
Never mind "The Passion of the Christ" will likely prove a hit, Mel taking a hit from Hollywood types.
One tells the New York Daily News he's all but a marked man. Directors will avoid him. And one goes so far as to say audiences will move on from him. No more "Lethal Weapon" sequels. No more "Signs."

I wouldn't worry too much about Mel Gibson's future in Hollywierd,or anywhere else. He a fine actor and a good man from what I can see. I watched one of his recent interviews and he was aware of whose toes he might be stepping on in making his Passion film. which I and almost everyone I know wants to see.
Seems the big boys in tinsel town hate it when you don't show them the proper amount of fear and reverance.
You Go Mel..

"
He might end up owning Hollywood instead."
Then he could make a movie about Hollywood called "The Whores of Babylon".

Directors will avoid him. And one goes so far as to say audiences will move on from him. I haven't been to a movie since the day the Dark Prince (Willie Jeff Clinton) took over the kingdom, but I'm going to this one. And the wife and I plan on bringing about 10 of our friends along.
Mel Gibson has made nearly $2 billion for Hollywood, they're not that stupid as to avoid him.

Mel Gibson doesn't need Hollywood. Hollywood needs Mel.
From recent articles I've read from the major news outlets, people aren't going to see most of the garbage they're putting out. I know I'm not.
Box office numbers are down, because the Hollywood elite are completely out of touch with the common people, and what they want to see.

Isn't this what the NAZI Leftist Hollywierders were telling us was going to happen to them, ie, from us 'nasty conservatives'?
Isn't this just another example of how you can tell what a Fascist Leftist's position is just by looking at what he accuses his opponent of?
Wasn't the above just a rehtorical question.....?
I worry about going insane, senial or suffering a head injury...I might vote Democrat then.....

You know, you're right!! I have NEVER watched the "Oscars" but I'll go see this movie...
The Oscars are on network TV (free)
VS
"The Passion" which will cost us @$20 (plus dinner at a really good Italian place - there's a little irony for ya!)
Hmmmm
God and good pasta will win every time!!

According to Medved, that is not the case. He claims they prefer to make movies that impress each other rather than maximize the money they make.

It's only blackballing if it gets used against them..
If they do it it's called "Freedom of Speech" and "Fair Market Economics"..
"Glorious News, Comrades!!, the chocolate ration has been INCREASED to 1500 grams per week!!"
(funny, I thought it was 1800 grams per week....)
...you get the point.

No doubt they prefer to make films to impress each other, but somehow they also find the spare cash to fun the money makers.

Actually Ebert and his cohort both gave it a "thumbs up". I watched his show last night, and was very pleasantly surprised by the review.

Gee, think a movie that will be this absolutely huge will figure at next year's Oscars? Don't you believe it....but it will be fun to make a stink about it's conspicuous abscence...!
To: Dog Gone
One good thing about the subtitles is that this is one movie that the deaf will be able to see in the theatre. My son-in-law is deaf and he has never been in a movie theatre before. He and my daughter always wait until a movie comes out on dvd. You should make an exception in this case, this movie will have a huge impact on everyone who takes the time to see it...
To: LisaMalia
The formerly fat guy shocked me with his positive review. As for his effete chohort, I was surprised he liked it. He did have to do a dig about biblical misinterpritation but otherwise it was apparent they could nto dispute the quality of the film making.
