A few thoughtful GOP lawmakers ponder the record of the first time in 40 years that the party has controlled both the executive and legislative branches, and conclude that record is deeply disappointing. But incipient heresy also reflects shortcomings of the Bush political operation. Its emphasis has been on fund-raising and organization, with deficiencies in communicating and leadership. The president is in political trouble, and his disaffected supporters who should be backing him aggressively provide the evidence."

I don't begrudge those who have already pledged themselves to Dubyuh's reelection, but I'm trying to figger out what we can do to hold his feet to the fire on the issue of fiscal discipline. A $2.5 Trillion Federal Budget is simply too big, and I just wanna see him make a decent effort in getting the spending growth under control. He's hinted at it, so I know he sees it as a weakness...now he's gotta act and force Congress to exhibit some restraint!!

I bet the Administration can find some victim family members that are pleased with the ads and are thankful for Bush's skillful response to the attack. Meanwhile we need to keep pouring it on. It is obvious that this kind of reminder will hurt the opponent. I believe the campaign began in earnest today. Bring it on!!

I agree, and I will definitly vote for President Bush, there is too much at stake with the Presidency, and our war with terrorists.
But there are a lot of other Republicans I have a problem with, including my Senator- Gordon Smith (R).

Mud pinged me to an article that tells me many Republican politicians are far more interested in the party status quo, than they are in their honoring conservative principles. I will vote for some Constitution party folks, just to help send a message to the RINOs.
