Look at the Getty family.

Would you wish that on your kids?

It's not like these kids will ever need to work for a living.

The couple also wants foundations that survive them to have spent every penny within 20 years of their deaths.

Good! That prevents the perversion of their foundations over time. When you consider the garbage funded by the Pew, Rockefeller, Ford, and other foundations that contradicts everything the founders stood for I'm glad someone is creating trusts that don't create permanent empoyment to leftist usurpers and hangers on.

agreed ... they'd be much safer to give their money to me ... lol ...

at least I could start that collection of 60's and 70's American muscle cars ... there's only about 35-40 that I would own ... plus the odd Lamborghini, Ferrari and Porsche ...

hehe ... I've already spent the first $3-$5 million or so ... lol

but yeah, I'm sure it's not easy having that much money and not being in trouble all the time ... you'd be a definite target for some people out to get your money ...

when I was 16, I would have married Farah Fawcett ... hehe ... but you'd have 1000 Darva Conger's beating down you door ... money can't buy true love that's for sure ...

Perhaps we can borrow George Costanza's "The Human Fund - Money for People" and tell the couple we just want to be free to celebrate "Festivus"? ... and of course, we'll need hundreds of millions of dollars with no questions asked ... and a receipt for tax purposes ("Deal of the Century" - Chevy Chase movie) ...

first we gotta get an aluminum pole, then there's the airing of grievances, and of course the wrestling until a pin is made ...

I don't think Henry Ford was a conservative.

I never said he was. However, I think he would have disapproved of quite a bit of the Ford Foundation's "philanthopy" in the last several decades. The Ford Foundation funded the creation of "women's studies" programs that are an abomination to real academic scholarship.

These foundations really do have a life of their own without any accountability. There seems to be a whole industry filled with leftists to fill posistions on their boards and use these foundations as their own ideolgical piggy banks to fund leftist causes.

"the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts...are among many organizations that have received Lenfest money."

So that's how Jimmy got his show on ABC - he bribed them!

Were I in the position of this couple and similarly disposed I would put every penny into one scholarship funds for participants in the martial arts. As the dad of three boys who've been involved in karate their entire lives, I've witnessed firsthand the development of some of the finest young people you can imagine - and I find it really a shame we don't better encourage this positive influence within our culture.
