We give special thanks to Dick Erickson, our quest speaker, for driving up from Houston, TX, to speak to our group. We also thank my friend for introducing us to Dick. Dick is the Executive Director and co-founder of the Counter Clinton Library and, among others things, he said:
Although I have never been actively involved in politics, I am definitely a political- and news-junkie, and I consider myself politically savvy, and very patriotic. I am a member of Free Republic, your great organization which I discovered while attending the 2003 CPAC convention in Washington, D.C. I have followed the Clinton scandals closely, and since I have been a frequent visitor to Little Rock during the past 5 years, I could follow the development of the official Clinton Presidential Center from a unique vantage point. It was clear to me from the very beginning that the official Presidential Center was going to be a propaganda machine, designed to rewrite history and prepare to return the Clintons to the White House, via Hillary as President in 2008. I didn’t want to see the Clinton “LIE-“brary go unchallenged, so I came up with the idea of creating a counter library – dedicated to presenting the TRUE Clinton legacy.
I decided that I needed to talk to political insiders and others with first-hand knowledge of the Clinton scandals, and to ascertain whether a counter library would be a viable project. So, 18 months ago I made appointments to meet with Gary Aldrich, Dick Morris, and former Congressmen Bob Barr and John LeBoutillier.
The verdict was unanimous in favor of going forward, and these men have offered assistance in the form of documents, artifacts, archives and personal testimony. Congressman Barr has offered us the entire Impeachment files, and Dick Morris is giving us his inside information. Since that time, others have come forward offering information, including former Arkansas State Troopers, retired F.B.I. and Secret Service Agents, retired military members, lawyers with first-hand working knowledge of the Clinton scandals and others. The list keeps on growing.
Presently, we have signed up nearly 1,000 Charter Members through our Web site, www.counterclintonlibrary.com, but we know we’ve barely scratched the surface. Dick Morris estimates that there are more than 20 million avid Clinton-haters in America, who would support us if they only knew about it. We need to reach these people, but we lack the financial resources to do so effectively. That’s why we are seeking financial support from the general public (and finding a conservative counterpart to George Soros wouldn’t hurt us a bit.)
The development of the physical library is moving forward. The company designing the Counter Clinton Library is Southwest Museum Services, the same firm that designed the Museum of Arkansas History in Little Rock, and the Alltel sports museum in North Little Rock. You can see samples of their work online at www.southwestmuseum.com. We are at a critical stage financially, and we need help from everyday American citizens if we are to make this a reality. Unlike the Clintons, we can’t get money for our library by selling Presidential Pardons, renting out the Lincoln Bedroom, shaking down foreign officials, selling military secrets to our sworn enemies, or taking taxpayer dollars. We are hoping that members of Free Republic will come to our aid. Dick Morris has stated, “There’s no question that the official Clinton Library is just a propaganda machine designed to rewrite history and present a false picture of the true Clinton legacy. The media will certainly not expose the omissions and lies, so it’s up to private citizens to protect the truth.” I hope we can make that happen.
I would like to create a citizens’ advisory board to help build and oversee the Counter Clinton Library in Little Rock. I believe that the members of the Arkansas Chapter of Free Republic would be an excellent source to be members of this board.
Dick also gave several examples of Clinton lies and misdeeds, He and Herb Messick (who has been working on the CCL since its inception) gave out CCL pins, bumper stickers, business cards, and brochures.
Herb was not a member of Freerepublic at the meeting, but became one afterwards. Welcome, Herb!!
Dick has been on several radio talk shows and was with Dick Morris on Fox News with Sean Hannity. Hannity will be at the opening ceremonies for the Library.
Dick has lots and lots of information on Clinton, but, Dr. John and others gave him more information from earlier years. GoGirlGo has some documentation for the CCL.
Although the Clintons are no longer President (remember Hillary’s remark when reporters wanted to view some of their records…..they can’t rummage through our papers, we are the President), they still control the democrat party and she will run for President someday……Haven help us if she wins. The truth has to be told.
Nora Harris gave us an update on her lawsuit concerning the illegal 1996 reappraisal, funding for the Clinton Library and other good information. We really appreciate Nora’s and Butch’s hard work for the taxpayers (especially property owners) of Arkansas. GoGirlGo brought copies of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette article where Nora compares officials to robbers….Nora is very good with words.
Jason gave us an update on Jim Holt’s website www.jimholt.us. He and Wendy passed out stickers and some brochures for us to hand out. There will be a primary held on May 18 as there is another candidate running for the US Senate. A third candidate is expected to register next month.
Jim Holt will come to your house if you can get your friends and neighbors together to talk and answer any questions on his political views.

Sweetliberty gave a brief report on voter fraud. She will get her thread on Freerepublic running again. Her threads are always very informative and interesting. We have serious voter fraud problems in some counties in Arkansas. She and others will try to come up with a plan to help reduce it.
GoGirlGo brought copies of several handouts on education, Jim Holt, “Can you match the party to the lists below?“ (democrat vs. republican differences) and Voter Register forms. We can’t thank her enough for all the work she does.
