Ok...it's kinda personal...and it's a little choppy.
I hope you don't mind.

I'm late reading this, but I am so glad I didn't miss it.
I never wore a uniform. (I "served" as a PD dispatcher during the Viet Nam War; and I went to DC to mock those long-haired idiots in their tent "cities" who were there protesting!)
I'm not a part of your Band of Brothers, but I'm honored to know you. I do what I can, when I can. I wasn't there to make you cornbread, but I'm certainly glad that somebody was!
Thank you so much for sharing your story!

Great post! Brother, you have hit the nail on the head. I wouldn't call Kerry a "brother", not after the way he denounced servicemen when he got back from the Nam. A brother is a sacred name, and Kerry demeans it. Never trust a democRAT-ba*tard.

Who says you have to have served in VN to have an opinion about it. I was 18 when the war ended and did not want to go in the service because I believed Kerry's band of liars. I later learned that Communism was a horrible form of oppression and turned into a strong capitalist and Free Trade Republican. I was wrong about Vietnam and salute everyone who served there honorably. Friends of mine never came back and Kerry spit on them. Commrade Kerry cost 10-20 million SE Asians their lives and has their blood on his hands.

Whether you fought in jungles or desert or on the sea; or sat in a silo in North Dakota waiting, or made cornbread you swore the same oath.
Thanks for sharing.
