BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) - Howard Dean, bowing to the political realities of a 17-contest losing streak, ended his Democratic presidential campaign Wednesday but promised to keep his "campaign for change" alive while supporting his party's eventual nominee.
For now, the former Vermont governor did not endorse either of his top rivals, Sen. John Kerry of Massachusetts or Sen. John Edwards of North Carolina. He called both men before his announcement to tell them his decision.
"I am no longer actively pursuing the presidency," Dean told a crowd of cheering, flag-waving supporters. "We will, however, continue to build a new organization using our enormous grass-roots network to continue the effort to transform the Democratic Party and to change our country."

Aside from increasing taxes to spend on social programs, what issues? Oh yeah, I forgot....hating Bush is the issue.

And yet...and yet, Dean is in second place on delegate count, though he never conclusively won even one caucus or primarry election. Less than 10% of the total electorate made this decision, so we shall never know if Howard Brush Dean III, child of privilege, Birkenstock doc, and beneficiary of some $3.8 million in trust funds, equities and financial instruments, had much resonance with the general public.

Its great that Dean lost big. What concern me is the fact that he plans to build up is grass roots support that are extreme liberals. This grass root rot and its agenda will continue to spread like weeds, in this liberal climate, conservatives are force to endure every day of our life. And will know doubt be use to help the democrat take the oval office in 2008. Hillary or not.

I was just wondering....
What if Kerry implodes and Edwards becomes the nominee... will the hard-core Haters just stay home on election day? Edwards' lack of mouth-foaming this election cycle may not sit well with the Deaniacs, who privately hoped not just for a Dean victory, but a Reign of Terror afterwards to make Republicans extinct. They may not even bother.
And where does WitchHillary come down on all this? Her buttboy Clark has folded, how is she going to save her Evil Empire from the dustbin of history?
Stay tuned, kids, more after the commercial...

Thats the era that has ended: The "Mouth-foaming Reign of Terror"! If Edwards gets in, I think all the Deaniacs will move to San Fransisco, marry each other and then pull out of the Union.
