Dear loyal supporter,

I can't thank you enough for all the support you've shown my family and me over the past 5 months, and especially in the last week since my decision to leave the presidential race.  Your emails, letters, and phone calls have meant a lot to Gert and me.

Right now, we're looking forward to a little time off.  Today, Gert and I are flying to Los Angeles to spend the next week with Wes, Astrid, and my new grandson.  During the next few weeks, I'll be reflecting a lot on all that we've done together and putting together some ideas about where we will go from here.

For many of us, this was our first time to really get involved in politics.  I think we all learned a lot, and I hope you feel as I do: even more inspired to do whatever it takes to build a better America.

My pledge to you is to remain involved in the political process.  And I ask you to do the same, because there is just too much at stake this election.

We cannot allow George W. Bush and the Republicans to play politics with national security.

We must reclaim the values of faith, family, patriotism, and inclusive leadership for America.

We must do everything in our power to send George W. Bush back to Texas and return the White House to its rightful owner -- the American people.

In short, I ask you to stick with me and support the Democratic nominee.  There is a long road ahead and a lot of work to do. I'll be back in touch soon with ideas about how we can continue to work together and spread our message across America.  If you have any thoughts you'd like to share, please email me at wesclark@clark04.com.

I look forward to continuing to work with you to build a better America.

Best regards,

Wes Clark

P.S.  To minimize any confusion during this transition period, all communications about my future plans, fundraising, and any other official information will come directly from me. As always, you also will be able to find this information on our official website, www.clark04.com.

As opposed to the Democrats playing politics with National Security, which is ok.

Put that in a bag and use it to fertilize the back 40! Conan of The Kosavars is the LAST person to whine about the politicization of national security.

I made some changes :-)

Dear loyal supporter,

I can't thank you enough for all the support you've shown my family and me over the past 5 months, and especially in the last week since my decision to leave the presidential race.  Your emails, letters, and phone calls have meant a lot to Gert and me.

My pledge to you is to remain involved in the political process.  And I ask you to do the same, because there is just too much at stake this election.

We cannot allow John F. Kerry and the Democrats to play politics with national security.

We must keep the values of faith, family, patriotism, and inclusive leadership for America.

We must do everything in our power to keep George W. Bush in the White House as he continues to lead the American people in the right direction.

In short, I ask you to stick with me and support George W. Bush.  There is a long road ahead and a lot of work to do. I'll be back in touch soon with ideas about how we can continue to work together and spread our message across America.  If you have any thoughts you'd like to share, please email me at wesclark@clark04.com.

I see Clark as a complete opportunist. I have no trouble believing that, had Gore won in 2000, he would now be campaigning as a Republican and finding supporters within our party. Thank God that never came to pass.

I need to make a few corrections:

We cannot allow George W. Bush and the Republicans to play politics with national security. We must allow the UN to take control of keeping us safe.

We must reclaim the values of faith (by eliminating god from the pledge), family(by allowing for gay marriage), patriotism(by burning as many flags as possible), and inclusive leadership for ALL DEMORCRAT Americans.

We must do everything in our power to send George W. Bush back to Texas and return the White House to its rightful owner -- the demoncrap party.

Exactly!!

But .. you have to understand. This is a shining example of how the "projection technique" works. Here is Wes blaming the Republicans for doing what the dems are already doing.

And .. in this example, Wes is even blaming the Republicans for doing something the repubs are not even doing.

Mara Liason (on Fox) did the same thing yesterday, and Fred Barnes exposed her .. She kept saying that the race was way too nasty, "and it promises to get even worse when the Republicans get involved" .. in other words, Mara was already blaming the repubs for doing something the repubs aren't doing, and probably won't be doing.

Fred Barnes was livid! He also pointed out that what the dems have been saying is just smear tactics, while the repubs have only put out an ad regarding Kerry's hypocrisy on the "special interests" issue. It was awesome!
