These conservative groups are just stupid, do you think you can go across the street from the marriage ceremony and get a ruling you want. Please
Find another judge that won't be looking for semi colons and putting off hearings until March 29th.

Shouldn't the Governor be able to do something? Is he willing?

Go shopping for a judge outside of SF, why play on their home turf.

The ruling was made in the Ninth Circus, which is based in San Francisco, I would think the appeals would have to go through there.
BTW. The only thing Bay Area folks hate worse than having their city called San Fran is it being called Frisco.
Way to go. ;)

yes too many special interests... I don't understand how this mayor is able to openly break the law.

Good point. The tactics have been very poor so far.

I'm not sure why. There are plenty of more conservative areas here than SF, and truthfully SOME people that live here (in SF) are hugely upset about this issue. Like myself, and a few friends.
I'm so SICK of the gay agenda, and I've been telling FReepland for years about the issues, getting into flamewars, but all I have gotten here (except for those on the Homo Agenda Ping List) has been, well it's not hurting me, so what?
But it IS hurting us, hurting our country. Everything. It's the slippery slope.

When I lived (born there; not proud of it) in the Barf Area, knowing "Frisco" was verboten, I instead called it Insanny Franny. Not really germaine to the topic though; so, to keep the moderator happy:
They used a San Francisco City Court because (I presume) that is the lowest court with jurisdiction over the city. Ditto the SF County Superior Court, for the County of San Francisco.
The ruling was made in the Ninth Circus, which is based in San Francisco, I would think the appeals would have to go through there.
The Ninth Cicuit is FEDERAL; appeals would go to the State Appellate Court. The issues are Californicate law & constitution; no federal case...yet.

Yes, it does hurt you. You have to pay their bills, including the nonsense of publicly funded sex change drugs, therapy, and operations for county employees, if nothing else. At least, I think that passed last year.
Amusing side note. In the 60s, I was to meet my girl friend in SF. While waiting for me, she was tossed out of a bookstore. The managers comment was, "Dearie, you'll have to leave; you look TOO much like a girl!" I wish I could have seen the look when she said, "Thank you, since I AM a girl!"
