STEIN REPORT XXXXX Tuesday, February 17 2004 16:00:26 ET XXXXX
VIRGINIA SENATE OVERWHELMINGLY PASSES BILL CLOSING LOOPHOLES ON ILLEGAL ALIEN BENEFITS
In a lopsided, veto-proof vote, the Virginia Senate passed SB521, a bill that requires most people claiming Virginia residence to prove that they are lawfully in the U.S. This comes on the heels of a major victory last year to deny a Virginia drivers license to illegal aliens. Activist groups across the state, who have been pushing measure like this since 9/11, expressed their gratitude for the expertise and advice offered by FAIR during this important fight. "Our Coalition is extremely grateful for the enormous contribution that Fair has made in getting SB 521 through the first phase of legislative process," noted Bob Shoemaker. SB 521 is a model, state-based initiative to prevent illegal alien misuse of government services and outlaws the acceptance of the controversial consular matricula cards while safeguarding the rights of legal immigrants and citizens.

If we could get some of that same attitude here in Washington State Legislature Don't feel too bad. We're still trying to get the Right-to-Carry here. Its all tried up in the courts right now.

actually, in one case I know of, it directly cost the VA economy two or three jobs, and FR $600/yr in monthlies.
But, hey, it's for the children.

The Supreme Court will shut down the will of the people by judicial fiat. But I admire their spunk.

Perish the thought that the Dems win, as they will immediately give 12 million of them citizenship and the state laws won't mean a thing. Once that 12 million sneaks in all their relatives, it will be more like 25 million.
We need to stop this invasion now or we may never be able to stop it.

Okay, Joe. Your right. I'm just trying to keep everyones attention on this matter. We're all on the same side here. Maybe some of our pro-illegal freepers will show up on this thread like skunks at a picnic. Then we can really have some fun.
Its really ashame what has happened to California. Back in 1992, the people spoke and then some elitist judge sticks it to you.

Locke is gone (almost) but on his way out the door he's proposed a 10% increase in sales tax (for the children well actually for education). Guess the Lotto $$ that were supposed to support education just aren't enough for him.
Dino Rossi is the R candidate for Governor probably against current AG Christine Gregoire.

Am I the only Freeper that doesn't have a problem with that?
Anything to encourage monogamy among gays (Sorry ,but they ain't going anywhere) so long as it doesn't cheapen my marriage to my wife is good in my book. The more monogamy, the less AIDS; the less AIDS.....

I grown tired of the all the lies, surrounding this entire government approved invasion. And to add insult to injury, half these so-called konservatives are now in support this invasion since their "guy" is now in charge.
What a vicious circle.

California's
Save Our State Initiative petition:...will deny public benefits to any applicants who aren't in the United States legally, requiring public employees who distribute those benefits to verify the immigration status of everyone, regardless of race or national origin, before benefits can be given. It will also prevent illegal aliens from getting driver's licenses that could otherwise indicate legal residency and qualify them for public benefits. And finally, it will prevent public agencies from using unverified foreign ID cards (such as the Matricular Consular) for identity purposes in California.
Californians, download and circulate the petition now. The deadline for returning petitions is April 15, 2004 to place the initiative on the November ballot.

Sad thing is, the RINOs in the Senate only want to be able to tax 'em.
