*VIRGINIA SENATE OVERWHELMINGLY PASSES BILL CLOSING LOOPHOLES ON ILLEGAL ALIEN BENEFITS

**May this be an example to other states

Moreover. may it be an example to President Bush, Colin Powell, Tom Ridge, Orrin Hatch, John McCain. John Cornyn, Chris Cannon, Jim Kolbe, Jeff Flake, Rosario Marin, Tony Garza, and every other pro-Illegal Alien Republican currently ifnoring the wishes of the GOP rank-and-file, and those of the nation as a whole.

Does this close the loophole that if you had a (illegals) Drivers License you could renew it before the expiration date with out proof of residence/citizenship/SS/etc?

I'm not questioning the need for stringent rules and closing loopholes, nor was I doubting that illegals were getting DLs.

It just boggles my mind that it appears that it may be easier for an illegal to get a DL than for a native citizen.

(ps...I have no idea where Herdon is, but I'll take your word for it)

Whoops, maybe you know where 'Herndon' is? It's in fairfax. At that 7/11 you can pick up day labor any time you need it. And some of them drive. But I know what you mean.

It would be such an easy raid, but the Herndon police are more intersted in staking out bars for people who might be drunk in public.

Thanks. Even if there hadn't been a typo, I would have asked the same question. I'm over in Accomac on the Eastern shore and have been here less than a year - still not totally familiar!

I see the day laborers hanging around over here and some of them drive as well - I just figured they were doing so either without a license or were legally here, considering all the hoops I went through to get my DL.

Appreciate the geography lesson. As I said, I haven't been here all that long, and so I'm still learning the in and outs of Virginia....I try to read as many threads as I can generating from here, trying to learn......
