The Supreme Court will shut down the will of the people by judicial fiat. But I admire their spunk.

Yep. The liberals will surely take advantage of the rapidly declining O'Connor every chance they get.

I just went through a lot of trouble getting my license this month. It failed the emissions test. No need to encourage illegals to come by offering them driver license.

California did the same thing. Except our courts decided that democracy is a selective process and should only be observed when it coincides with liberal agendas.

I didn't say this legislation could cheapen my marriage, although I do believe gay marriage would. Marriage is a sacrament that has both personal and societal implications. The societal implications of marriage are dilluted the more we broaden its definition.

It took me nearly 3 months to change my Delaware DL to a Virginia DL - I'm not talking about vehicle tags - I'm talking about the document that states I am legally permitted to drive and claim residency in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

I was born here - I was able to prove that....but that was not good enough for VA DMV - I had to do more. My social security card had a different name on it than my Delaware DL had. But the name on my DL was the identical name on my marriage certificate - still not good enough.

I won't even bother getting into what I had to do to prove I lived where I claimed I did.

I may not have been born in Virginia, but I sure as heck was born in the USA - if I had trouble gettig a VA driver's license, I would love to meet an illegal that was able to get one.

My rant is not directed at you personally, just a general rant because I am still ticked that it took me so long to do what should have been a simple document exchange.

Once that 12 million sneaks in all their relatives, it will be more like 25 million.

And the relative often have no ability to work but are just here for the handouts. Ending loopholes is a good start.

So you think same sex marriages will encourage monogamy among homosexuals?
ROTFLMAO!
I am a heterosexual practising abstinance.
You cant possibly imagine how much easier my life would temporarily become if I legally "married" my heterosexual same sex best friend!
Fortunately for society,I, and my best friend, are able to see the negative ramifications of selfish, short term, personal financial goals.
I want my daughter, and she wants her sons,to have a shot at optimal human happiness.
Everyone does not define themselves by personal sexual gratification preferences.
Are we now supposed too?
Why is how I decide to have, or not have, physical sexual gratification any business of the Government?
I challenge anyone to prove that my personal sexual orientation can be discriminated against, unless I make it a public issue to anyone who might want to dicriminate against me.
And if I make my private sexual inclinations and activities public, why do you think "society" is not then allowed to have an opinion and/or negative reaction to me?
AKA discriminate.
What if I prefer group sex? Can groups get married?
What if I prefer child sex? Can adults marry children?
What if I prefer ---- sex?
Just how far are you willing to go with the whole sex issue?
After all, who are we to judge? /sarcasm//

You know, that is one hell of a rant that goes far beyond any point I made.

Where, for example, did I say anything about same sex marriage?

Sounds like you've been saving that rant for some time and weren't really attempting to engage me.

Sounds like you have not really thought out the issue of "same sex marriage" beyond the minority homosexual agenda.

What test for homosexual (same sex) marriage applicants are you willing to impose on homosexual couples?

Look, this is nuts. You're nuts. I said nothing on this entire thread about being for gay marriage. You did not read my replies to me.
You're a whack job, a nut, kooky.
That's not my problem, of course, but it makes me think you might want to reconsider whether you are really practicing abstinence, or if you're trying to justify why you aren't gettin' any. Now THAT would be a reality that sucks.
