Today's Toles cartoon in the Washington (com)Post, entitled The 20th Hijacker Arrives, depicts the U.S. Capitol building being blown apart by "The Deficit," and with a sub-title, "Who Could've Foreseen?"

My local paper had a Toles strip of the Titanic sinking today. Either they offered an alternate tragedy or he's doing a series.

Still doesn't defend the action.

Yes it appears that he was aware that some people may react stronger to the terrorist strike image. The Titanic image does not appear here (even on previous days):

Toles is a disgusting punk. Editors don't have to agree with him. Neither do they have to run his spew. Like I said at the top, I'm not so angry at Toles as I am at the (com)Post -- DC's paper -- for running Tole's insipid, treasonous depiction of our Capitol building destroyed, in or out of the context of Sept. 11, and irrespective of politics.

These are hysterical bastard children of merchant princes, trolling for nickles and applause from stumbling fools whose intellectual legs are one shorter than the other, and crawl around in circles like dogs chasing their own scent.
